Well I didnt want to Use the Marneus model( to many Ultra marines Icons alll over the place and he'e pretty noticeable if you take them off...
So i had a few extra termies and i decided to make one to lead the army for the heck of it...
Hes still WIP Im letting the green stuff dry right now and i have to find my glue( i lost it at a all night lock in painting/ game play this weekend)

All good but the kneepad. Too big, once dry it would look weird. Take it out and do the same but with less greenstuff, and it will became a really GREAT conversion!

I like the pose, concept and cape. Yeah, I have to agree the knee pad is a lil.... well it could use some help. Like Lauendix said it is a bit big, and I might add that the V is a bit soft/rounded. You might need to clip it off and start again but before you do that i would suggest that you get a file out and sand it down a bit to both ruduce the mass and hopefully crispen up the lines. Thats a nice model but some of the purity seals look a bit chunky using warm water yea and a non stick surface??

Try to trim down the seals before you apply to the armour so as they dont look like Manerus has been to a new years eve party and got tactically outflanked by a box of streamers.

The extra effort goes a long way I found this with the hell that was green stuffed detail on a Rat Ogre I was working on in fact he needs to be redone.

OK I just add some GW bitz to him now and Redid the V on his knee pad and added a laruel too it.

The other model will be a comand champion, after i filed down a DA Storm shield, and i will have too putty up the roughness. ( Yes those are DE spikes from Mr Vects ride on the side of the shield) I though the shield needed to be used more as a weapon too( hense the spike)

Lastly my Version of a Cyclone missile launcher( i like it over the boxy missile luancher)

I like the shield idea, and that pose is great. the Cyclone Missle launchers are kinda growing on me. Neat idea. The knee pad birdies on Mr Galgar gotta go. He is pretty busy as it is and they look like they were just thrown on. But he is looking good otherwise!

I agree with MachineSteve, the eagles on the knees look too out of place and slapped on. Everything else is nice, overall nice job.

Well I took off the Eagle and it left a huge hole( exposed armour which didnt lookright i couldnt put any thing there too cover it up, So after i painted him Roughly, i put it back on..

The Second figure is either going to be a second force commander, or a champion of my army...

Yes im a fast painter, and now comes the long and painful job of highlights and final washes on them.... Why decal them up, well i have too highlight the area were the decals are too..... Right. I spend most of the day when i work up, cutting out decals for terminator and other things . Enjoy.

Thats pretty freaking cool. All the green stuff really made him a character of his own. Strap those cyclones to something.

Ok Since a few of you wanted too see the cyclone missile launcher attached here they are.

I do a few terminators with magnets for a reason, so i can swap out heavy weapons, Such as hvy flamers, and cyclone.

Dude, I love your painting and your conversions are slick. I bet your army looks the biz when its all painted on table.

But your spelling under picture two of your last post is hard to make out...

Yeah Me and LInt only live a few blocks away from each other... His army is comming along great, LInt you need to post pics of the aspiring champoin you painted at the lock in.

I love the wings on that model, the way how he blended the dark elf flesh tones and highlighgts

nice paint job but one thing, GET RID OF THE EAGLE ON THE TOP OF THE KNEEEEEEEEEEeEeEeEeEeEeE!

Use greenstuff or something to fill the whole, in battle theat eagle would only get in the way, and if he wants to turn in the direction he would bump into that alot.

One more thing...IT'S HIS MODEEEEEEEEEEeEeEeEeELLLLL! If he was going to take the Eagle off, he would have done it already. If he likes the eagle where it's at, then sobeit, leave him to his artistic independence.

I like your guys alot, but they look a bit chalky, I think a thin wash of Devlan Mud would make the colors less chalky.

The Chalkiness come from a light dry brushing of goose feather, i have to seal them still, once the sealer sets the chalkiness goes ways( ive been modeling for along time and its a trick i learned over the years) to keep the highlights when you use a matt finish. Pictures on the way.

On a side note, The pictures are 2D, If you see the figure up close and personnel, you will see why i have the the eagle were its postion.
