As I was busy collecting my stuff together for the impending
pack-your- -and-get-out phase of my upcoming separation/divorce, I
stumbled upon my old Tomb Kings of Khemri Warhammer Armies book.

I know that it's a 6th Edition Army Book and WFB is up to 7th(8th?) Edition
by now, so I have no idea if the books been superceded or not. I figure at
least one of the posters here must have played WFB within the past
year or two. If that's you then please comment and critique upon the
following 2,000 point army list (My instincts say it's waaay too low in
model count for undead and that foregoing infantry entirely is crazy, but it
seems like it'd be a blast to play with)

My first comment is that you absolutely need more characters. Characters do the killing and much more importantly, the casting for Tomb Kings. Right now, you're looking at a very limited magic phase- you at least need another liche priest, but almost every list I've seen maxes out character slots.

There's just so much you can do with the spammed movement magic. Most folks find heavy horse to be a pretty sub-optimal unit, so if you need points, you can start digging there...

Take out heavy horsemen, get more liche priests, give the king flail of skulls, or spear of antarhak, get skellie warriors. if you really want horsemen get light(their cheaper, more effective).

I use the SSC (screaming skull catapult) in my current list, but when going competitive don't use it is a big gamble and usually kills itself. They only time it is useful is for being next to the casket and or killing skaven, O&G, or some other low Leadership army. I am probably going to take it out of my list soon enough, i just haven't got the money to replace it with something else. Never use it against Elves, as their leadership is super high. Sure it gives decent damage and killing, but on a 1-6 chance of a misfire(in reality its seems to be like a 1-2 chance)it just isn't worth it. The real damage is done with it when you make a block of 20 orcs about to charge your flank flee in terror from a failed leadership check. (but this rarely happens)

Well, having taken some advice from my Ushabti thread over on the WHFB Tactics forum, I'm working on restructuring the list almost entirely, and going more static
