If a model with a plasma gun uses rapid fire, but rolls a 1 to hit and is removed as a casualty from the first shot, is the second shot prevented or are they supposed to be simultaneous... Kind of?

If it is prevented, you'd need to roll plasma shots from multiple guns in volleys, I guess? Five CSM Chosen armed that way would roll five dice, then five dice (as opposed to ten straight). Correct?

Thanks all.

simultaneous

simple rule of thumb is to just follow the shooting progression as described in the RB on page 15 and/or 109. in which to summarize you resolve hits, wounds, then armor saves in that order.

DA 3rd Co. w/duelwing 6000+ pts
Mostly tanks 2000+ pts
Ultras 3rd Co and 1st Co. 7000+ pts
Harald Deathwolf's Co. 7000+ pts
4000+ pts (Daemonhunters)
Kabal of the Hydra 5000+ pts
Skullrippa'z Freebootaz 6000+ pts
Plague Marine Force 2000+ pts
and not finished until I own some of every army

Ahh, so you would roll to hit twice, then resolve any wounds you may have incurred in the same 'phase' as rolling for the enemy's wounds?

Ok, sounds plausible. Cheers!

Add on question.

Lets say I have two plasma guns in a squad. and they both rapid fire (4 shots). Do I roll all 4 at once and if I get 2 1's each makes a save, or do I roll 2 sets of 2 incase one rolls double 1's?

On Dakka he was Eldanar. In our area, he was Lee. R.I.P., Lee Guthrie.

Roll 2 sets of 2 because you are 'testing' for each weapon individually.

I have found again and again that in encounter actions, the day goes to the side that is the first to plaster its opponent with fire. The man who lies low and awaits developments usually comes off second best. - Erwin Rommel

You should really roll 2 sets of 2, however, if you are my opponent and want to roll all 4 at once then spread any gets hot out over the models, I wont mind

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

Or roll 4 dice at once but use a different colour for each of the 2 models.

No offense but that is the same as rolling two sets of twos. Your just saving time.

Thanks for the answers everyone.

actually it only hurts the shooter to roll them all at the same time.
