This is for the monthly competition in my local GW (Each month the winner picks a model costing £12 or less for the next month). It's my first go at painting Tau and seeing as i had a lot of flat areas to work with, i thought i'd have a go at that fancy SENMM effect i keep reading about Not sure i've got it quite right; could probably use a bit more white on the most exposed areas, but i'm pretty happy with the results so far.

C&C are always most welcome especially regarding whether i should put some more battle damage/weathering onto the model!

That Is very well done, Better then what i could do.

My Comments would to add some 'shadows' to certain parts, such and the hip join, as the reflection wouldn't be so clear.

Also, the battle scars could use a bit more detail, such as a little fleck of silver in the middle.

Interesting color scheme. If going for camo, would have thought that reversing scheme would be better. Nice paint job but needs something to bring out the details.

For a "true" SENMM I would make the fades from dark to bright in a few more steps. It might just be the camera but the blue especially seems very plain.
The OSL from the lense in the head part seems very good though.
