Been slowly building interest in Warmachine, as some guys at the FLGS are starting up an escalation league, the Cryx have such a cool look, and I am a big fan of Necrons, so I figured I would expand my mechanical legions to harvest whole new realms of existence. I've been putting off getting anything for it because there so much Tyranid stuff I want right now, but a third place finish (out of seven, woo!) at an out of town tournament this weekend gave me just enough credit to pick up an Asphyxious they had on the shelf, and I figured sure, why not, as my local FLGS is not currently well stocked on Warmachine stuff and has no Warcasters apart from the starter boxes.

A bit of tinkering later, and I've got a good beginning to Necron Lord Asphyxious, complete with Res Orb and Staff of Light (not pictured). An old unused Monolith Portal and bit of melted and twisted green sprue make for a cooler flight stand, opened up his hand to fit an airsoft pellet for the Orb, and cut down a Necron Warrior body to harvest it's chest symbol, intestinal wires and head to complete the look. I'm working on melting more sprue to get the little ghost things that rise up from the base around his feet, but it was being a pain to get it shaped how I wanted so I took a break from it.

I need prime the stuff before I assemble it so I don't coat over the green, but should have this all done before Warmachine night at the FLGS tomorrow so I can really stick it to a couple of the players who have an irrational hatred of 40k.

Looks like a bloody good conversion idea to me.

I have to admit, I did think about using Cryx for a necron army... but I don't have the money

Good work.

Cheers,

Jack.

This is insanity at it's finest.

What a good looking way to stick it to the machine (ooh, that came out wrong, I can see it now..."hey there you big femaleish looking necron, soooo..... um...is there an insert coins here place or do I have to use a drill.."

good, model, does not look girly, but I put it in fer effect...

Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, "If I Die, You are forgiven. If I Live, I will kill you." Such is the Rule of Honor.
