Something that I've been working on for a while and after some rough concept ideas, I came to this. Always found the destroyer body to be sort of bland so I wanted a bit of imposing theme to give the Necron Lord a little more respect he deserves.

I used the bottom tail of the Wraith for the scorpion tail and cut the tomb spyder legs in half then crammed them in the destroyer ports. Simple, effective, something new.

It's cool, but the end of the tail is sort of weak. I think it needs some sort of scythe blade or gauss blaster to make it look like he can actually do something to you with it, beyond just sort of whack you.

I've been thinking of taking the Nightbringer's scythe end and applying there but after some trials the scythe sort of overhooks the initial tail, making it look like he is instead going to stab himself rather than someone next to him

Hmm. Yeah, he's sort of limited in what he can do with a melee weapon. Have you tried bluetacking some sort of gauss weapon on it and seeing how that looks?

in the end i settled with the scythe tail, twisting it a bit to the side to give it a 'about to strike' feel.

I think it looks great. Here's hoping that the next Necrons codex has something that interesting in it. Perhaps you should send them a picture of it, and hope it gets through their thick skulls.

Great Idea! I agree witht he tail comment though; maybe you could use that to represent the staff of light shooty bit (similar to the brass scorpion)?

Made some alterations, Clipped down the body to make the tail more visible and used some warscythe ends for the tail, now it looks more Necron, less 'here is a quick conversion'

Still have to finish painting and 'Ard coating but that is what the new piece looks like.

Go with the tail twist and the sycthe, the big gauss gun thing just doesn't look right.
