well, if i wasn't so lazy it would have been done by now!
i was debating on calling it a Kyoto pattern Manticore. i was strongly inspired by KK's Manticore.
one thing i really like about it is it's close tie in to the Hydras i made earlier.
the rocket launcher raises and lowers. it also tilts.

I like it! Most people usually use the smaller clusters of missiles on their Whirlwinds, so it's kind of unusual to see the bigger missiles. This really helps it from just looking like a Guard tank with some Space Marine bits stuck on. You could try and fill that gap between the missile platform and the tank though - some plasticard will do the trick.

i added some more pics. i forgot to mention it does turn side to side and is removable.

i don't know why, but i actually like the space that way. it could be my aforementioned lazy nature,
but there's something different about the look that appeals to me.

Cool Manticore and don't cover up the space below the launcher, it looks cooler that way.
I have been thinking of converting one myself but i dont have the guts (or the Chimera) to do it!

it's actually a new Hellhound body and sides. i got the bits off of Feebay for less than $20. the launcher part i picked for $10.
and the Aegis "box" was less than $5. so the whole project ran about $35.
