Hopefully if I loaded the picture correctly, I was wondering if this figure looks adequate enough to represent Sergeant Centurius.

nice looks like the original model but cooler
was thinking of doing something like that myself but have him holding an orks skull as it would match my army background

and is that a zombie head on centurius?? wasnt sure myself what to use

Yah I used a zombie head from the vampire counts and had to pin it in and support it with some greenstuff. Wouldn't have finished this model without the help of the people on dakka.

I dig it. Like the idea of using a zombie head, but it will need to be painted right to get it to meld well. But um, pardon my ignorance, but who is Sergeant Centurius?

He was a limited edition Legion of the Damned character, best picture of the old mini I could find was here

Yah the painting of the head is the only thing that concerns me. I want to make it transition well into the armor so it doesn't look like I just set the head on there. And yah I decided I didn't want to spend 150 dollars on ebay for one figure. Do you guys think I should give him a banner on his backpack? That seems to be the only thing I'm missing from the original.

From memory, while he came with the standard character backpack (which included a banner pole) he wasn't actually pictured with a back banner originally. Most people just cut off the banner pole, or gave him a metal LotD backpack.

thanks insaniak I think I'll just leave it out. It'll look cleaner that way.

You know what, after seeing the original model I like your's better! the other one looks like an extra from Buffy or something. For painting the head I would paint it a hard brown kind of like a weathered skin look instead of an atrified putrid look. That way it ties more into the reds and yellows (the flames) that are found in brown and is a bit darker transitioning into the black of the armor. good show, paint 'er up!

Yeah the original model was a limited run thing which is a shame, it would have been good if GW brought out a new Sergeant Centurius model with the rest of the Lotd

Can't really see that much in the picture, but from what I can, this looks really cool. Or "chill," as the new phrase my school seems to be using (or at least just the girls).

Lol yah I wish they did come out with a newer version of it and on the painting of this model I probably am going to save it for later because I have not even built the rest of my army and have absolutely no experience with the lotd design. Once I get better at painting them I will definitely paint this one. I just wanted to get the construction of him out of the way so I don't need to worry about it later.
