The idea to this project came from a good friend of mine who was looking for "classic" models to use with his planned hrud army (don't ask any further...)

While he ended up with a remodeled seahawk i started with this here:

you should round off the corners on those "rotars" the las cannons might look good with the barrels coming out of the front of those running board looking things on each side of the cockpit

It is an Apache if I'm not mistaken, so it should have a pair of stub wings you can mount two lascannons on and put a third under the nose.

So you've got to fit 5 lascannons on that? I think it might look a bit crowded without some larger wings

Nah, just mount two on the nose like the gat guns that are there on the original model. Then do side by side on two sponson wings just behind the cockpit. So you got two on the nose, two on the port and starboard sponsons, and walla 6 barrels for the 3 twin linked lasguns on a vendetta.

I used lascannons from the heavy weapons team spru's since I had many of them laying about, they work great together with a quick bit of shaving to get them to sit "flat" against each other.

Six is it? Right. So the front two will just be the muzzles peeking out of the front of the fuselage, then two pairs, one on each wing. I still think that the twin-linked lascannons will be too big for the stock apache wings.

Just so you know, it's 'voila'.

Actually instead of cutting down two for the nose, I'd say try to find two lascannon's from the sentinel kits to have them on a mount that rotates like the gat on the real one would. For the sponsons' it'd be whicked to get a pair of sponsons from a landraider kit and mount those to the side; giving the guns the ability to move on the model. It would also create a very nice structure to hold the cannons in place.

The PC fans are a clever idea, although they could do with being mounted on a small swivel post out from the body slightly.

I like the concept and hope it comes out great. Its already looking good.

I agree that the Sentinel lascannon pieces would be great.

Agree with the sponsons idea, but I think they really might dwarf the apache fuselage. What scale is it OP, can you give us a pic with a figure for scale?

Oh drop the act Max. It's already build and primed. Stop acting like you don't know how to build it.

Maybe get your hands on the FW Twin linked Punisher cannons they put out for the Vulture. Putting one under the nose might be interesting if you can find a way to work it.

The single las-cannon on the left side looks a bit weird. It's not exactly straight, is it?

It's by far the best Helicopter-to-Valkyrie I've seen, but that's not saying much. I don't really care fore the way you've mounted the Lascannons, I think the traditional way would look nicer.
