Three Color Minimum
|
I realised a while ago that I had enough spare bits and old models around to put together a small 'fun' radical Daemon-hunters army.
I've painted them to a table top standard that I'm happy with; bases remain unfinished and I am considering also including options for a vindicare (try and guess which model I will add), a callidus (any model from the opposing army), and some DC assassins (3 converted old wardancers).
see if you can identify all the models used (almost all have had some alterations).
The Inquisitor - I am counting a null rod in his wargear, don't expect to come up against too much psy in such a small list though.
his familiar (I couldn't resist although I wish I had a better model)
Acolyte
gun servitor
STORM TROOPERS sq 1
vet with pp and pw
my first attempt at the great coat- I thought she would be the easiest, ended up pretty chunky. Don't intend to redo.
STORM TROOPERS sq 2
with melta
WIP
couldnt get him to lean right (base WIP); vet with pw, pp, carapace
DAEMON HOSTS
WH plastic zombies on big bases, what more could you want?
"hi"
he's got a club-foot HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAA
hope you enjoyed

I really like the conversions, but I can't say I'm a big fan of your color schemes especially the one on your lord solar/inquisitor. The armor is painted all in one color, and it looks rather drab, flat and boring. Yes, it is a tabletop standard, but even just picking out things like the aquila on his chest in silver, and applying some washes, you can acheive a very nice look that makes the model seem more lively and energetic.

maybe it's not the most flattering lighting- the details have been highlighted with more silver than the rest of the armour. But I do have to admit I was going for speed rather than quality with this bunch (did the whole lot including GS in about a week from scratch).
thanks for the C+C!

oh wow!
I find it maddening that the DH book suggests that the only familiars available to an Inq. are servo-skulls and cherubim.

Some very nice looking conversions. Any more?

95% of teens would go into a panic attack if the jonas brothers were about to jump off the empire state building, copy and paste this if you are the 5% who would pull up a lawn chair & grab some popcorn and yell JUMP!!!!!
Inquiring minds want to know: Do cos-players carry a costume version of the emergency roadside kit we all have in our cars?
92% of teens have moved on to rap. If you are one of the 8% who still listen to real music, copy and paste this into your sig. |

I like the idea of a squig as an inquisitorial familiar. Your conversions are brilliant and the Solar model makes a great inquisitor.
