Hey everyone

I am new to 40k and wargaming in general... I am working on my first army (bugs!) I was interested in seeing what you guys think of my current works and if I could get some feedback on improving my finished product. Thanks in advance for any constructive criticism and - to trolls with no good insight - thanks for the laughs and keeping me bumped!

until next time (currently working on a unit of 2 carnifex)... without further ado... the pictures!

Thanks!

Eltola

These are pretty nice absolutely brilliant for a first army. Well done! Do you or have you tried using washes? And have you thought about painting the gravel on the bases?

Thanks... yea... I have considered painting the crush on the base... as for washes... I have never done it so I was a bit adverse to try... all my gaming friends have told me that is the way to go though... I plan on doing some research and trying my hand at washing a model less intimidating that Tyrgon Prime... I'll post how that turns out in a couple days

I use washes a lot on my SM they’re different from nids but if you want to look at my blog you can find it at: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/30/274891.page

@Eltola:Use washes man. They will make your army look 10 times better, and it cuts down on your painting time.

Mix a little black with say, 3 parts water, slap it on the trygons chest, and if it's too dark then add water to the model until you can see the paint again.

@Qualude - thanks man... Is this a preferred method for washing? I really am not sure (as I said) I am only a couple weeks into this venue.

If anyone has any good resources for painting tips/tricks/tutorials I would be willing to convey a Wookie lifedebt on them

I like to think that I have basic art skills, I just need to work out the kinks and practice

thanks everyone!
