This is a unit I created to play in casual Games with my friends. A grot-piloted Ork Looted Dreadnought with LOTZ of guns and LOTZ of armor. It serves as long range fire support; you know that thing… that orks...don't have.

Anyway, here are the stats, I've already built the model, I may put pics up later.

Points: 200

WS: 2 BS: 3 S: 6 Armor: F:13 S: 13 R: 11 I:1 A:1

Wargear:

Dakka Blasta: (2) (one on each arm) R:48" S:6 AP:5 Heavy 4, rending

Special Rules:

'Eavy Armor Plates: Due to this vehicle's immense amount of armor, It cannot move more than 3" In the movement phase and cannot run in the shooting phase.

Upgrades:

Dakka Blastas may be upgraded to pinning as well - 20 pts

May take one of the following:

Target assisted Rokkit Launcha (Rokkit Launcha with 36" range) - 10 pts

Zzap gun - 20 pts

May take:

Grot Riggers - 5 pts

May replace ALL weapons with:

Shokk Attack Gun - 50 pts

I'd like to hear some opinions. Broken? Balanced? Cool? Lame? Let me know! Keep in mind though, even Ork players have feelings.

Only 3" movement? Easy to avoid.

It's not a vehicle meant to be assaulting things. no real reason to try to avoid it.

4 dakka blasters seems a bit much. Perhaps just 2 that are twin-linked but give them pinning as well?

there's only two of them, one on each arm, so 8 shots total.

I like it. It seems a lot more fairly costed than most of what you seen in this forum. I actually think the SAG upgraded is slightly overcosted, but only by 10 points or so.

The Fluff police might get after you for the SAG as to use one you have to be a big mek.

Maybe have it so that you can only field one if you have a Mek for an HQ.

I honestly like it, but then again I like anything that that can fire 8 shots an turn. As for the 'Eavy Armor Plates rule, does it actually give it the Armor Plates upgrade?

Nope, it just explains why this walker has AV 13 instead of the standard AV 12, and limits it's movement accordingly.

It would be sureal to see an Ork Dread on the field that isn't outfitted for stoppin'. I like this as a anti-heavy infantry vehicle, and like others have said you did pretty well with the points overall. Thumbs up Dedrith

Perhaps if the shock atack gun is chosen a big mek have to be in 6inchs for it to fire? A grot aint that clever.
