Looks okay, but you really really need to give it a good wash with Devlan Mud and turn the flash off your camera.

The conversion itself looks solid, but the painting could use highlight/shadows.

As a gamer though, I'm looking at what appears to be a Valk with Hellstrikes and a Lascannon. It's a really bad build. It should either be packing the rocket pods or just be a Vendetta.

it's a nice conversion although i'd be hesitant to field that thing on a table. if it's in the center of a normal board, everything on the table will be within 18" of it, lol!

It doesn't look much bigger than a normal valk wingspan. It's a huge model to begin with.

The conversion looks nice, though the way the pylons are attached only at the back looks a little unnaturally flimsy (not really your fault) and the paintjob could use some touchups if you want it to be your centerpiece. I'd second playing it with MRPs from a gameplay standpoint... hellstrikes are a pretty junk loadout, even if they do fit the theme.

No real complaints from me though, I'd happily play against it and it looks pretty good

love the conversion. I would love to see that army against my Exodites, it would be like the 40k recreation of the movie LOL

Listen to "The Receiving End Of Sirens" they are GREAT

Thats a brilliant conversion, are you just doing this as a one off, or are you creating an Avatar army?

The props look surprisingly good on there, but look like they're attached a bit far back. As is, the Valk's centre of gravity looks a long way forward of the props, which would make it a right sod to keep the nose up...

what did you use for the props?

But that's where the slots for the Valk wings fit in, iirc, and it looks as though the props are already about as forward as they realistically can be while being based off of those.
I'm not sure if it could be done better at all easily, at least without some serious work on remodeling the slots and the new attachment point.

I think it's a nice conversion though the Dual-VTOL propellers look a bit large. Did you use the Avatar toy to do that?

The only real issue I see with it needs some wings under the propellers, but aside from that it looks pretty sweet. I dunno if you're going for 100% realism, but it's just a suggestion.

Thanks for all the replies.
yes i used the avatar toy for this so worked out a bit expensive.
tried the wings under the pylons but cant do it and keep the sliding doors which i like so kept them.
im not refined enough at hilighting yet so not doing it to the valkyrie till im better at it.
im currently fully magnatizing a stormlord so will add pics of that when im done.
was thinking of selling the valkyrie to fund new projects but not sure as i took it to a games workshop model competion the other day and got crowded by everyone wanting a closer look.
not trying to get it realistic to avatar just thought it would make a great conversion.
as for gaming im afraid i prefer the hellstrike load out on a valkyrie as i have 2 vendettas aswell and a large model like a valk and vendetta are best played at distance for safety i find. then use there speed to drop of troops to capture an objective thats been cleared out.
if anyone fancied buying it let me know
