Hey guys, I recently got some Lizardmen from my Buddy Rotonia and ofcourse being the total noob I am at everything fantasy I have no idea what Kinda list I could build, and I'm seeing if you guys can please help me out with that. I was thinking about possibly making a good 500,750 or 1000 point list if it is even possible to reach that many points with what I have. I was hoping to use this to play a few of my first games to learn with. If you think any additions to the army would help to make a good 500,750 or 1000 point list please feel free to let me know, Im trusting you guys here haha

So this is what I have:

40x Skinks
1x Skink Priest
1x Skink Champion
1x Skink Drummer
2x Chameleon Skinks
41x Saurus -
16x Temple Guard
1 Stegadon

thanks in advanced, hope o hear from you guys soon.

sincerely, girthman

Almost all the units you have a solid units.
Only the Chameleon Skinks and Skink Command (Champion and Musician) are almost never used. Also, Temple Guard are best in bigger games, when you are also fielding a Slann Mage Priest.

A good start for an army could be something like this:

Skink Priest (Level 2, Plague of Tepok, Engine of the Gods) - 405

Skink Skirmishers (10) - 70
Skink Skirmishers (10) - 70
Saurus Warriors (12) (Spears) - 144
Saurus Warriors (12) (Spears) - 144

If you want to add units to this, I'd advise Terradon Riders (in minimum sized units) and the Slann Mage Priest (can be fielded together with the Temple Guard unit in games of 2000 points or more).

ooooh. I like the OOP models, good stuff!

With what you have you have a lot of options here. I would suggest getting to army book as your next purchase if you don't already have it.

What I can suggest is this:
At 500 points you are going to want to use most of those Skinks. Four units of ten Skink Skirmishers will go for 280 points. That gives you room for a character or two and maybe a Sallie or a Razordon (which you don't have). A decent list would use a small block of Saurus, two or three units of Skinks a Scar-Vet (maybe) and a Razordon or a Sallie.

For 750 I would just add the Steg to the 500 and maybe mount the hero.

At 1000 you have more options. That can be up to you really. At those points you can get into more things that make the Lizardmen tick like an EotG or some CoC.

Honestly, with these models you could get to 1500 easy!

If you want to learn the basics you are going to want to use some Saurus blocks to learn maneuvering and such.

Logically, you are going to want to purchase a few things to round out this force. Getting a Slann would let you make a decent-ish army at 2000 points. After that, you are going to want Terradons (like Airmaniac said), Sallies/Razordons and some CoC (or Kroxigor). Another investment later could be a battalion box, it's a decent deal. Sadly the since these are the older models they might mash with the newer ones. It's not too bad, though, I have some OOP Saurus that I got off Ebay a while back and they don't look half bad next to the new ones.

I don't actually play lizardmen, but I would have to agree with the other two for future purchases. A slann-mage priest, terradon riders, and cold one calvary. As for a list I like Airmaniac's and it leaves you points to try a scar-veteran or increase the size of your saurus to 18. Skirmishers for shooting and rules for skirmishing, saurus blocks for moving and combat, and the skink priest on an engine of the gods for maigc and terror. You get to learn a lot of the game from this list.

dwarfs, wood elves, dark elves, bretonnians, WOC,
space wolves, orks, eldar
