hey guys, I recently started painting my friends Dark elf army which will be mine for the most part until he has enough time to get back into the hobby, so I decided it be a good friend and paint them for him (hes more into the gaming aspect of the hobby) I think it would be a great opportunity to practice on my own abilities his army which was completely unpainted.

I have also come to a decision of what army I wanted to play which is warriors of chaos, I have already purchased a Warriors of Chaos battalion and have assembled the warriors. Later on Im planning on getting rid of all my BFSP dwarf warriors and starting fresh with the original warriors (which in my opinion look way better)

what I hope to get out of this blog is motivation and the chance to share my work with you guys, and maybe get some advice along the way, but ultimately I am hoping to have my first completely army, which has been one of my goals for a long time.

Alright everybody!

right here is my first update

I painted some chaos warriors up awhile back in the scheme of nurgle, but right now Im considering stripping them so they'll fit the new scheme Im coming up with for my new warriors. I would paint them in the colors of khorne but I don't want to be tied down to a certain mark due to a paintjob, but anyways here are my nurgle warriors (along with 2 khorne warriors I just did for fun)



Next up are The dark elf crossbowmen I was panting for my buddy.




and finally my new Chaos warriors, that I modeled myself (the other chaos warriors were given to me built from my friend)




My favorites have to be the command units but mostly the standard bearer in particular, I used the Ogre Kingdoms banner top, I think it looks loads better.

Does you camera have a macro function (often it looks like a flower) if so you pictures would not be so blurry. i do like the chaos guys especially dappled green color.

It does but my camera is absolutely terrible

Well everybody, I have a couple things to show you today, I have finally tried my hands
in basing my models for the first time ever, I first tried it on just an empty base for a little bit of practice


and I have also figured out how I will paint my Undivided Chaos Warrior, took me a couple
hours to paint and base up this one, I am confident enough to say this is my best painted model so far.





and just for fun I decided to get some greenstuff and some extra bitz I had lying around and I made 3
Chaos Mark Markers, so I could easily illustrate which mark my units have

first one is Khorne


The next one is Tzeentch



and lastly here is my Nurgle Mark



there you go guys, that's my update for now, lemme know what you think
I'll be working on getting the rest of my warriors painted up.

I like the nurgle warriors. The areas of black (boots, shoulder pieces) needs a highlight codex grey or something of the sort.

My reasoning is based on how you did so well on the nurgle green of it; the rest seems unpainted not necessarily black.

wash of thrakka green
and finnally a wash of devlan mud

and to be honest I got a little lazy after the green haha, but thank you again

So as far as what I have planned after this is another unit of chaos warriors that Im going to convert to look a bit more like vikings/norsemen. right now Im waiting on an order of marauder/space wolf heads and some halberds I ordered off of the GW website, also I ordered the 4 pack of sorcerers they have in their collectables section coming in the mail, I like the generic looks to these guys so I could have multiple uses for these guys. About a month from now there is going to be a painting contest at my local GW for best painted unit, so Im thinking about entering the viking warriors, or the chaos warriors Im working on right now.

I also have a couple boxes of orc boys sitting in the shelf that Im going to use in my second army.

@Nostrilofterror, thanks buddy, haha and trust me I know how you feel about bad paint, I literally have some paint jon touchdown and I gathered amongst ourselves from 6 years ago. Ive been slowly replacing the stuff I got as well.

Ah I see, or you could leave it and make the enemy suffer penalties because they can not resist the COOKIES!!!!

Most of that paint is dried out or choppy haha. Time for more new stuff!

For some strange reason I ordered my halberd and chaos sorcerers over a week ago already and they are still being processed. Idk whats going on.

now I have a question, Im also building an orcs n goblins army on the side, (orcs/orks) being my first army and all 6 years ago, do you guys think I should take a quick break from my Woc and paint some Orcs n goblins and then go back? I myself am just a little afraid of getting burnt out on my Woc.
