Hey,

Has anyboy made any attempts, or got any ideas for representing the new Beastmen models without minis? I mean the Jabberslythe, Moonclaw, Slugtongue and Ungrol more specifically, as they're the ones I hope to attempt at some stage.

I'd think the new plastic fell beast model for LOTR would be a good place to start on the Jabberslythe.

I've made Slugtongue. Used a WoC Nurgle sorcerer, got rid of head and scrolls, and green stuffed loads of fur to put a plastic cattle skull in. Then a tentacle leaning on a big bone for a walking stick. I've also added another tentacle o look lke it's got a 'mind of its own', and it's picked up an axe; but I think this unbalances the model and is bound to break off at some point in transit. I'll post pics soon.

Next (after painting battalion) think I'll mount a daemonette on a cold one, 'man' it up a bit, and give it a talon from the winged nazgul, then use th rest of that kit for a jabberslythe?

I have made slugtongue from the Necromancer from the corpse cart combined with the ram head from the old skeleton box set.
Here is a Link

My jabberslythe is being made from an old marauder dragon from the direct order range just painted in woodland colours (I figured that a young dragon would be scary enough).

I have also made Taurox the Brass Bull but I haven't gotten any pictures of it yet.

8000 points of Chaos Space Marines (Iron Warriors/Nurgle)
1000-2000 points of Chaos Guard/Supporting Deamons of Chaos
2.5/3000 points of Vampire Counts
2000 points Beastmen
1000 points Dwarves (drifting towards the bin)
