Nice colour scheme. What colours if any different are you going to use for bioweapons on shooty/bigger beasts? Also what basing are you going to do on them? Helps do a painted model justice rather than leaving them bare.

i dont like the idea of a contrast of the weapons, as then they will appear to be the main feature of the entire model IMO

I think the whole scheme looks pretty good, though the weapons could use a tone down, they're too dark compared to the rest of the model.

What base theme are you going to use?

I think your colours are fine. The weapons are black so don't stand out heaps as far as I can tell. Plus the tongues are rather bright which catch the eye. This is good as you want people to focus towards the head.

Your army is looking fine for table top gaming. If you're after a really fine paintjob then you may want to try a few things but this will add a lot more time painting each mini. You seem to like to finish your mini's in record time. Nothing wrong with that though.

Try to be neater with the paint. The photo with the tail is a good example. The paint wasn't applied neat, look at the bones sticking out of the tail. There is flesh on the bone parts.

Put more effort into painting the details of the mini's. I see parts that are painting over as if they didn't exist.

Do something with the bases. Fill the gaps with green-stuff or milliput. Paint?

Try some highlighting. This will bring out the model so much more.

Nice start- for the amount of gaunts that Tyranid players field, I wouldn't change these at all. Just apply the 2 foot rule (if it looks good from two feet away, its fine!) Obviously more detail on the carpace will lift a model- perfect for when you start fielding larger monsters!
