They're nice paint jobs, but the bases look too busy. They draw attention away from the model.

Agreed, I had trouble figuring out where the base ended and the model started. Great feathering/blending technique!!

Yah, they do blend in on the photo. It is a bit better on the tabletop. I was trying to express the Lictors camo powers....

I believe that is the point. Lictors have supreme camo abilities and i believe this model illustrates that fact very well.
