So I want to put together a cheap and competitive Blood Angels army, and I think the best way to do that is by making an army that revolves around Stormraven Gunships. I know, probably not the most competitive build (like IG airforce), but I think it'll be alright. Tanks are expensive. GW has not produced a model for the Stormraven, so what have y'all think would look good?

The best for now is possible to modify a Valkyrie, which isn't exactly the cheapest option in the world. Otherwise it sounds like it may be time to bust out the plasticard...

Built both of mine from the Valk Model. Just added another $11 worth of bitz (ravenwing assault cannons, leman russ multi-melta's and extra missiles) and boom. Done. If I had been building the army I'm planning from scratch it would only have been about $500. Which isn't bad for a 2k Army.

GI Joe toys?

No one knows what it looks like, so... You can do whatever you want, but you might run into problems if/when GW releases an official model.
