They shall be my finest warriors, these men who give of themselves to me. Like clay I shall mould them, and in the furnace of war forge them. They will be of iron will and steely muscle. In great armour shall I clad them and with the mightiest guns will they be armed. They will be untouched by plague or disease, no sickness will blight them. They will have tactics, strategies and machines so that no foe can best them in battle. They are my bulwark against the Terror. They are the Defenders of Humanity. They are my Space Marines and they shall know no fear.

Key to this mission is to keep your troops/HQ's alive and use your HS, Elite and FA to do the heavy lifting. Trygons, Fexes, Raveners, Shrikes, Gargoyles, Mawlocs, etc. Just go and bury them in a sea of non-KP units while your troops hide in reserve, then scuttle onto the objectives.

All in all, fact is that Warhammer 40K has never been as balanced as it is now, and codex releases have never been as interesting as they are now (new units and vehicles and tons of new special rules/strategies each release -- not just the same old crap with a few changes in statlines and points costs).

I'm going to be attempting to make a list for this, i'll post it later. Since I need at least 4 Troops i'm gonna take Warriors since they're tougher to kill, Genestealers to Ninja on to objectives with, and a unit of 20 Hormagaunts for speed., then fill out the rest with HS, Elite & 1 Hive Tyrant for my HQ.

What i'm thinking,

Hive Tyrant

Doom of Malantai

Warriors
Stealers
Stealers
Hormagaunts

Trygon
Mawloc

I have to make it 1750 points, this is just a rough of what i'm going to include.

I think you should have your troops look like this:

Tervigon
10 Termagaunts
Tervigon
10 Termigaunts

Possibly get one as an HQ also. I forget which of the heavies (Mawloc?) digs the holes that anyone can deep strike into, but you should get a couple of those and have them dig holes right beside a couple of far objectives. As far as I read those rules, each new spawning of gaunts will be considered a new unit of troops and will be able to come back in when killed.

For a little firepower, maybe get some Hive Guard and deathleaper, possibly zoanthropes in spores, but really focus your points on your troops choices (especially if killpoints is not an issue).

Q: How many of a specific demographic group are required to carry out a simple task?
A: An arbitrary number. One to carry out the task in question, and the remainder to act in a manner stereotypical of the group.

The Trygon digs the holes & i'm going to have one of those.

Also, i only have 23 Termagants so tervigons wouldn't be too good for me.

What I gave you will play itself to a win. In the future, it would help to specify you only want to use your own units, and list them.

I wonder, can a summoned termagant unit be recycled? probably not...

If those are the only rules as listed at the top, then yes. They are troops that can become completely destroyed.

My bad, skipped one of his listed rules that those that can deep strike instead come in at the edge. Kind of takes away the Trygon strategy (though the Tevrigons will still be devastating. If they die, they get to come in and start producing again if they shut down earlier).

If a summoned termagant unit can be recycledm then the key to this scenario is 5 tervigons. If the tervigons hatching lockout is reset when it is recycled, then the key to this scenario is 5 tervigons.

Else, I'd say anything that has a good move in it's own turn, so hormagants has a slight edge of all the troops choices.

This reminds me a lot of that sweet 2nd edition tyranid scenario: Tyranid Attack. Great times!

Great! you have enough gants to have two units of 10, and then 2 Tervigons as troops!
Tervigons are T6 Multi-wound MC's. They are the hardest thing that 'Nids can take as troops.
Just because they CAN spawn gants doesn't mean they SHOULD spawn gants.
