Does anyone know where I can get brushes that are better quality than GW brushes? Hoping that somebody would know any slightly cheaper ones too, as GW brushes are a bit pricey.

If you're willing to spend the money, and keep really good care of your brushes, I'd suggest these

Honestly, I'd just hop over to Walmart and pick up a pack of assorted brushes. I'm not sure how much they cost, but you can get a whole ton for much cheaper. And the majority of the ones in the pack aren't crap. o-o

Brushes.
If you thin your paint at least 1:1 with water go with Kolinsky brushed like the ones mentioned. WN series 7, Da Vinci Miniaturist, Rafael, Blick Studios. Kolinsky brushes are made for water colors so are best when using thin paints with unrivaled control and flow. They are on the expensive end but if you take care of them they will last YEARS.
If you don't thin much grab the assorted sable packs or camel hair which is what GW use to use.
my 2 cents.

Rosemary & Co. Pure Kolinsky Sable. Very good quality but also very affordable. I got my Series 33 brushes couple of months ago and I have been very impressed with them so far. By the looks of it, they will serve me for many years to come.
If you want to enjoy the hobby of miniature painting, it's better to get proper tools to begin with. However, Rosemary brushes are a fine example that proper tools don't have to cost a fortune.

Wasn't there a post just like this a few days ago?
LBursly has it nailed down here. A big note though is no brush is a good brush for too long unless you clean it. Im not talking about just shaking it in some clean water either.
Buy some brush soap of some kind from an art store. Use this on your brush's when you finished painting (or if you use the brush for more then say an hour or so, give it a good quick clean).
You can also leave your paint brush bristles covered with some of the art cleaner until you are ready to paint again.
Don't buy an expensive brush unless you have some art cleaner.

Point well taken. Is there a substance that restores brushes? I have some with dried paint inside the metal area, and the brushes aren't the same as they use. All the suggestions on nice brushes makes me want to buy a new set, but to save money, I would rather restore/clean the current GW ones I have if possible.

Are army painter brushes any good?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270547918959&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
As the name suggests this is an extremely fine and small brush for the ultra small highlights, facial tatoos or just insane details like colouring the iris of an eye of a 28mm. miniature! Made from the purest Rothmarder sable hair, this is our most popular brush!

Its hard to be awesome, when your playing with little plastic men.
Welcome to Fantasy 40k
If you think your important, in the great scheme of things. Do the water test.
Put your hands in a bucket of warm water,
then pull them out fast. The size of the hole shows how important you are.
I think we should roll some dice, to see if we should roll some dice, To decide if all this dice rolling is good for the game.
