Great start!

I think you need to add more texture to the skin. Now its mostly punched holes. By adding details in layers you get more depth and realism. For instance if you want to add a hole in the chest.
1. make the hole and add texture to the inside of the hole.
2. add intestance
3. add ribs
4. add flesh
5. add torn skin
Let the putty harden after each stage.
The GUO on forgeworlds homepage have some really nice close-ups, that you can steal ideas from.
I can not say that I am really good, but I am quite happy with my 2 semi-sculps

Ok... I hope I don't sound like an ass, but this is constructive criticism.

First off.. a little anatomy might help. I know what you're thinking Tubs of lard don't have "Anatomy", but even ruggedly obese individuals still have a bone structure. You should see elbows "Dimpled" into the backs of his arms. He should have knees and rolls in the back of them. His stomach should look prolapsed and hanging down to the ground, as opposed to sitting on it. trying to imagine what this guy's pelvis looks like is giving me a headache.

However for a first attempt at sculpting, you did a great job. Some of the things you need to do a high quality piece is a little education(on anatomy and techniques), and an idea how to refrence things.

What do you expect, its the warp.

But yes you are 100% right. There is some anatomy to it. However please DO NOT think we are bashing your work. Take this as compliments that you have ways to improve. You are not a bad sculptor at all, you just need more practice. I really think after a few more projects, you could become a wonderful creator. I really do. So great work so far, just remember to study and always strive to improve, no one is perfect and no one is 'finished'. Everyone has something to improve upon.

thanks for the comments, so where do you think i can get an anatomy of a person to the proportions of a GUO. also how do you suggest i do the legs since they look out of place. do you think i should start over, do more research, then go from there, and what techniques should i learn and where do i learn them.
oh and btw does anyone know of any GUO tutorials.

well his anatomy is pretty much the same as a normal humans. think bone structure first. Armature is a great place to start. Unlike a human I think His hips should be maybe 1 1/2 as wide as his shoulders. (keep in mind a prolapsed stomach will sag down to or past the crotch) His legs are a bit shorter too, I'd say probably just knee length as far as proportions go.

this is what a prolapsed stomach looks like (work safe)

A couple things to remember when emphasizing the rotund-ness of a model like this.. A back hunch just makes them look fatter. Jowels and a bigger bottom lip (as well as neck rolls) really emphasize weight on the face. the other thing I'd add are some saggy butt-cheeks that hang just a tad lower than the stomach.

I think its great how Archangel777 is getting into some modeling. Good stuff. I'll try to add my 2 cents so please don't take what I say as mean or anything. Looking forward to seeing any improvements.

The model itself looks rushed at the moment. As said above, anatomy is important even though its a "creature of the warp", this is more of an excuse for someone not to do a good job.

1. Use reference material for ALL modeling projects. Not just pictures of Nurgle but large obese people and maybe even large animals (fat cats? Frogs?). Very important.

2. Design your model first using the reference material above. Get it down exactly how you want it. Can be a rough picture but as long as it gives you the idea of what you're creating.

3. There are some quick ways to get effects like the rough skin on your model. These quick effects can also look "cheap". With the picture (link) below, notice the scales. Some are rougher in some places but smaller in others. You can do this with the Nurgles broken skin. Make some areas of its skin deep and crusty and other area's where the skin would be softer, not as scaled and rough. Putting some effort into the skin rather then just poking it all over the place will look much better.

I agree on the anatomy stuff, and that showing bones and the 'squishy bits' would be good, and some of pictures are a bit blurry.

Besides that excellent sculpting work, i wouldnt have done something that big, let alone something as detail needy as a GUO. But still, nice work for a first go.
