Advice wanted!!!

HQ: Hive Tyrant
Stranglethorn cannon, Hive Commander and Implant Attacks...230 pts

Troops: 30 Termagaunts
Spike Rifles...180pts

20 Termagaunts
...100pts

20 Termagaunts

Tervigon
Cluster Spines...160pts

Elites: 3 Zoanthrobes

3 Hive Guard

Heavy Support: 2x Trygon

So the basic plan is thanks to the Tyrants Commander bonus the Trygons should arrive early enough. They Burrow into the enemys gun lines/ vulnerable parts/ high priority targets. If the enemy ignores them then they break the line/kill the targets, if the enemy FF them then the rest of the Horde can move unmolested. Thinking about outflanking a 20 strong termaguant brood to support Trygons. Hive Guard/ Zonthrobes for Tank hunting and Tervigon for replenishing the Horde! Well any and all advice is appriciated(Still a newb here) Thx!!! :dakkagun

The spike rifle is a downgrade to the fleshborer due to the 3 STR. The devourer is superior because you get 3 STR 4 18" shots.

Drop implant attack, it's a gimmick.

Give the tervigon toxin sacs or adrenal glands to buff all the gants.

I would drop the 30 gaunts with spike rifles completely. I would use those 180 pts free to get yourself some more synapse. 1 tyrant and 3 zoanthropes can be dealt with fairly swiftly and once they are gone your swarm falls apart since your gaunts have lurk and not rage.

Tervigons are very good. They create and buff lots of termagants and they bring tough synapse. Bring two as troop choices (maybe even swap your HT for a tervigon) and give them the standard 195p package: toxin sacs, adrenal glands and catalyst. One of them advances with the horde, the other one can be given outflank by your Hive Commander, or just advance with the horde. At higher point levels combine with a HT with preferred enemy and a venomthrope if you are fighting assaulty armies. This gives a pretty nasty phalanx, especially since your 5p models will be killing marines by the dozens.

Gaunt units need only be 20 strong, any bigger and they get very unwieldy.

Genestealers with toxin sacs is a favorite of mine, but hard to fit in this list.

Stealer cultists for loving, marines for playing, slaanesh for RL and my ex's orks for converting.
