I had a thought to try and get a new style of paint show-off thread going, not sure if I'm just being wierd but if you don't try...

Post up your best painted Cloth. It can be cloaks, tabards, trousers - whatever you want as long as it's cloth based. If you like you can also enlighten us by telling us how you did it

I'll start us off:

Not my best paint job, but I like the way the cloth came out. I started with a black basecoat, then I did a deliberately patchy coat of Dhened Stone. This was then washed with Devlan Mud, lazily drybrished with Dhened stone again and then highlighted with Dhened stone. It was a very lazy job so I was suprised at how well it turned out!

First played 40k during 2nd edition, missed out 3rd and 4th, and haven't played 40k since 5th edition - but still read and occasionally paint

Nice work! Yeah my favorite method by far is basecoat +wash +drybrush same color method. It's quick and easy and does a nice job.

Here's two that I did a while ago, but it's the only example of cloth I have, everything else has been commision or sold (and I didn't have a camera back then).

Nice work. The green looks awesome.

I have one more, this was a commision for a friend of mine.

An old painting contest entry: Lots of greys from codex to fortress plus a bit of white:

And picture is kind of crappy, but I like how it looks in real life - quite a lot of depth for black fabric (black + 5 mixes of codex grey and black and a black wash):

Really liking nurgleboy77's fleet officer and astropath, as well as bubber's inq conversion. Keep up the good work and maybe some of that skill will rub off on my work.

In the embrace of the great Nurgle, I am no longer afraid, for with His pestilential favour I have become that which I once most feared: Death.

Thanks, Halsfield!

Stubby, looking good! The blue is a little "wubwubwub"(power generator sound) for me but I like it overall.
