Planning to run a big Orks vs. Imperial Apocalypse game this summer and one of the things we wanted to do was tie-in some secondary games to the big battle.
One such game is a Planetstrike game in which Imperial attackers (most likely marines) will attack a fortified Pulsa rokkit emplacement. I will be building total of three pulsa rokkits: two regular and one "Big pulsa rokkit" (with Besta force field) that will also count as objectives. This game will be played prior to the big
Apoc. game obviously.
A few special scenario rules:
because the orks defending the pulsa rokkits aren't expecting to be attacked the rokkits are not necessarily prepped and ready to fire at the game's start:
1. each will roll as per reserves but with a 6+ on turn two, 5+ on turn three, etc. to launch (A "1" will always equal no launch in true orky fashion).
2. they are assumed to fire at targets "off-board" (in the main
apoc game) and so leave play when they launch.
3. Whatever turn the rokkits launch is the same turn they will hit in the
Apoc. game!!! The orks will pay appropriate points from their
Apoc. army list for any rokkits that do launch (if two standard pulsas launch then the orks must spend 400pts. for them to get them in the
Apoc. game, etc.).
Anyway here is a
WIP mock-up of the one of the main launch structures and the Big Pulsa Rokkit with a few orks for scale:
What do you think of the size?
Obviously still very
WIP but I wanted to get some C&C on the scaling of both the rokkit and the ramp...
