My GF got me this model and I painted it yesterdaynight. Be free to post your comments/critiques!
Also I always get little damages on the paint, the metal showing through?
Lot of work to do, mostly clean-ups and the left arm.

I really like this charachter, nice choice!
with reference to the paint chipping off showing metal, I would advise glueing the mini onto the base before painting, then paint doesn't rub off as you only ever need to touch the base.
I may be mistaken, but it doesn't look as though the model is primed, surley I must be mistaken, but that would certainly account for the paints not adhering to the metal.

Yeah, from what i see it needs to be primed which will cause your paint chipping issue to go away or at least make it very very less. The colors look good and kudo's to your GF for her support of the hobby for you.

Yeah I usually prime them with black primer, but on this one I took a slightly other aproach. Dumb move I guess.
So here's the almost completed Lukas for now, gonna go to bed eary tonight. Going to make the yellow shoulderpad more bright tomorrow.
C&C is still welcome!
*Note I noticed the hair, damn dogg

Okay, the thing that sticks out is that you aren't going back and cleaning up your mistakes. Take the yellow on the shoulderpad in the last pic above. See how some of it leaves the curved surface and hits on the rim a little? You need to go back and touch up the rim (carefully) to return it to an all black state. It also looks like there are spots where the black has gone over into areas that it isn't meant to go. You need to go and "clean" up those as well.
Cleaning up after your painting mistakes is the first thing that helps you improve as a painter and make your work look that much nicer.

Good work so far. As you state you will fix up the shoulderpad, I would not mind the previous poster to much
I look forward to see you get the horrible pelt on his back. Its a great model, exept for the cloak, IMO, wich really makes it awfull. It dont look like its a natural part of the model, just a chunk of metal glued to his back. Hopefully you get it to look good.
(and the sour part is one of his special rules/equipment is that damned pelt. Grumble grumble).
