hey Dakka...

this is my first sculpting project...
a custom built Mephiston for the new millenium...
hopefully i will get the chance to tackle another project like this in the future...
i would like to improve on my Greenstuff skills...

this mini is painted to my basic commission standard...
i've gone for a classic 'Eavy Metal style...
the freehand skull trim on his cloak was a bit of a rush job (each skull is so tiny!!!)...
there are a few other things i would have liked to do better, but this guy has to go out the door...

here he is for your viewing pleasure...

that is disturbingly good, quick question though, the blue beneath the eyes is it because he is tired or in the process of using a physic ability

Does he still have his "Transfixing Gaze/Glare" ability?

Could be that, after all!

Oh yeah - that is a fantastic conversion and paintjob!

Are you taking commissions?

Wow, fantastic putty work on the torso. Its an awesome effort overall. Is hair hard to sculpt?

Your GS work is great, but particularly compared to the original model, he looks kinda short and stumpy. Excellent sculpting, though!

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

Oh man what a difference a lick of paint makes! I made some comments about the legs back on B&C (I am Sisko11 on there if you remember me) but now that he is painted up and the eye is drawn to the head and chest more it really made a big difference for me. The legs are still too short obvs (which is more GW's fault than yours lol), but overall it looks really good. I look forward to seeing more of your work as you are rapidly becoming one of my favorite painters!

thanks guys...
glad all my hard work paid off...

@Murray: i just wanted to paint theyes like the EM team did for Lexicanium Calistarius (Mephiston's previous incarnation) for the Space Hulk game...
i never tried glowing eyes before, and i'm tyring to experiment with something new on each mini i paint...

@Alpharius: i'm always available for commissions, but my prices are very expensive...
i'm normally booked about 2 months in advance, and then it takes a month to get the mini done, so i usually have a 3 month turn-around...
sometimes my schedule is clear, and then the turn-around is 3 weeks...

@AesSedai: i don't know if good hair is hard to sculpt...
it probably take practice, and more practice...
in this case i got lucky, because the back of the head is hidden by the collar...
i just made thin rolls of greenstuff, and wrapped them around the back of the head, then pulled down gently until i got a thin strand of hair...
afterwards i tweaked things with the sculpting tool to get a little wave in the hair, pushed a part into the top of the hair with the sculpting blade, and it was good to go...

@MajorTom11: thanks man...
it's always good to know there are other good painters who appreciate my hard work...

cheers
