So for the last while I have "quit" 40k.

Alright I got a scheme, and some basic fluff.
My men are Renegades yes I know BOOHOO!!! Well everyone's Death Guard. And the vets at my FLGS would foam at the mouth if I said I was one of the lost legions.
I think they will be Dark Angels or Raven Guard founding chapters. I mean they are called the Children of the Raven.

Right now I have my battleforce and a apoc box and some stuff I've obtained and converted. My biggest conversion is my dreadnought. I will have a pic of him tomorrow, he is quite the spectacle though.

Anyways Dakka guide me on my journey to the paradise that is Nurgles garden.

I will be watching this with interest.

For starters I don't want to have one of those "cheeseburger walrus" Plague Marines although the biker helmets are sweet.
This army is going to be very Gothic and death obsessive. And thus very unique.

Define "Gothic" for this context?

A few skulls here and there wouldn't be out of place or maybe some kind of mortuary associated items(mummified exposed flesh, a few crows hovering around the Astartes etc), but if you're going for the stereotypical Goth culture of now...I'm going to say as nicely as I can here--it comes off as silly on models.

And if you really want to make this army very death oriented?
Practice free-handing skulls. Have your Aspiring Champions' helms/faces decorated like this:

It conveys far more than sticking lots of skulls and writing the word "DEATH!" everywhere.

Anyways no their not todays emo kids. Few have horns to avoid the "hurr I put horns on my head look" many have swaps with the beserkers like the legs and shoulder pads and some even have possessed bits carefully placed here and there. And the dreadnought well.. looks like something out of a Dimmu Borgir music video.

Take a shoe box or half of a battleforce box, line it with printer paper(tape it down with Scotch tape) and fiddle with that as a photobox.

It'll make pics go alot easier.

I still think my photos are shabby, but their TONS better then before.

Move the camera back a little bit further, and rest it on top of the table. Depending on how the macro for your camera is, it should work out nicely.

And also, add another sheet of paper along the bottom where you're placing the models. It's possibly fiddling with the macro.

Well i'm going out of town for Easter, but I promise ill take pictures as I go along and once I get things painted. What do you all think out of what you can make out?

It looks more like Beastmen Gone 40k than Traitor Astartes devoted to Nurgle.

Well only one guy actually has a beastman head. The second champ seemed like a good idea but I may just give him a normal power fist, he really is too spikey even for my liking.

Perhaps I might get a thing or two at the hobby shop in the town i'm going too!. Stay tuned for my chaos.

Although I do agree they don't look nurgle... yet. Let's see where the paint job takes them.
