hey this form is for photos of females in the guard or SM or well... anything. if you have some good ideas on ways to make or obtain them etc. also finished works are welcome too, always like to see what others have come up with themselves.

sorry that this has unpainted spots but it is still a wip, and i plan to touch it up.

I am presently working (well planning) an all female Slaaneshi raptor unit called the Sisters Of Suffering.

Fluff bunnies will hate this thread but, particularly as one building a Slaaneshi army I like it.

I was amazed once I had decided to create this unit how bloody hard it is to find decent female heads! Like seriously in all the world there are none at all that appeal to me!

Regardless of what the many critics say, the feedback on this forum and many others cearly indicate a very viable market for decent looking female heads for Chaos, SM, IG, Necromunda and other random conversions etc.

they might hate it for being slannesh but it isn't common for all female or all male regiments its actually more rare for there to be a mixed regiment then one that isn't mixed. and as for femals chronoscope minis have many females ranging in looks, i plan to post another modal from them that I am turning into Felicia from the forth book about cain 'Death or Glory' she's a female tech priest who only has a few implants and a macine tail. but on the previous note; ya GW really dosn't make many good females or really any females... I have seen about 3-4 femal IG units made by GW and one is a commissar who is fairly ugly, 2 are in cornel shafers last chancers 13th penal legion. and im shur that there is a 4th one out there somewere. but chronoscope has a toon of units and some of them work really well like the one i showed and i find new ones every time! so i hope that you can find one that fancys your tast.

Ah cool... only downside is it is a limited release so getting your hands on one can be tricky depending on how many were made.

Not a fan of how the model seem to be going for a sex object style female whereas the IG would have a standardised clothing (thus is mostly baggy and deffinately not bright red).

IMO women in the IG should be butch and unfeminine as that is the reality of war.

You could try using green stuff to pad out the unifom to make it look baggy. i like the idea of a whole female army, once a month they would be unstopable and would make a greater deamon look like a kitten lol

While you would be correct (to an extent) for accurate representation, the issue when you work at this scale is that if you accuratly portray a woman in combat gear (ie, dumpty/butch/manish) then you are basically going to be putting woman heads on man bodies.

Accurate? Eh, close enough. Looks good on the table? Heck no.

While there's certainly a line that you probably don't want to cross, you do need to show off their ladyness a bit or else they'll just look freakish. You don't gotta make them strippers with lasguns or anything, but you do need to exagerate the chest, waist and hips a little to make sure they have a recognizably female sillouette.

Yup, the next modal I'm thinking about using for the female platoon I'm attempting to make will be the cowgirl from Chronoscope which IMO looks like a mercenary which is what I'm aiming for with this platoon. but if i could get a hold of that previously posted modal made by GW i would(supposing its under $25.00) but like stated eairlyer if you found minis that look good as IG then do show!
