I was kind of bored this Easter (though not bored enough to write a 2000 word report on Light Rapid Transit), so I decided to put together a plastic Space Marine and test out a Blood Angel colour scheme. I gave him a white undercoat, followed by a basecoat of Blood Red. Finally I applied a very heavy wash of Baal Red. I know everyone will say use Devlan Mud, but I liked this effect. He looks a bit orange in the pic, but I actually achieved a nice bright red.

Hmm... will try and get a less blurry shot (crappy Nikon 5.1 megapixel camera).

Seems to be working well. I prefer a far darker red myself but it's definately eyecatching.

The highlights could be brighter... I suggest using Blazing Orange and blending it. Aside from that, I like it. Very cleanly done.
