They're base coated... okay... you need to finish them. It's nice and clean, but they just look really unfinished.

Can you get a pic of the back of mephiston?

The wings on dante is interesting, hand't thought to do that.

The red weapons need edging (can't see it in the pics)

The blue on the wings looks very good.

Yeah they are base coated but I have never realy gone further then this stage hehe. What highlights do you suggest? Silver on raised bits on gold armor? And I have no idea what to do with the red weapons..

Any advice appreciated

Well, for the gold bits, you can do one of two things, in my eyes. Either wash it, or use something like bleached bone mixed with some gold as a highlight. A simple wash should do the trick. Also, you should do the eyes, and do something with the power weapons, be it blend or drybrush or what not.

The way I highlight my metals by mixing in mithril silver. Oh, and a mud or black wash first ofc.

Could we get some better pics? Maybe a couple close-ups? They look decent from what I can see but most of the detail seems lost in this photo.

Devlan mud, Sepia, or even Ogryn Flesh will all bring out the detail in gold.

Question: Why did you give them regular helmets, and not the ones that came in the kit? Saving them for conversions?

Excellent base coat job - now finish those guys.

Not that it should deter you from making a cool looking model - but you realize that Mephiston cannot have a jump pack right?

Not bad so far, but as said, they need work.

Gunz - Correct, he has no jump pack, but he does have wings.

Thanks for comments/suggestions guys. I gave them normal helmets as I don't like the look of there death mask ones and I'll save the other helmets from the sprue for my other BA squads.

I gave mephiston JP and wings because they look cool and he can kinda move like a JP with sang wings power.

Over all I am happy with them now, I'm tossing up wether to highlight with mithril silver or not. I have washed with sepia and mud as it is..

These models are so fun to paint!
