Pics of my Iron Warrior Demon Prince. I used the basic DP model, the mask from a Defiler, the PK from the AOBR warboss and a FW dreadnought assault drill arm. The big cables are bass guitar string.


Notes: I'm not 100% happy with the "horns". I've never painted bone before and i dont think this came out quite right. But i dont want to keep plugging away at it for fear of ruining it.

Also, the flesh around the shoulders is the first time i have worked with green stuff. Again, not 100% happy with it.

That dude is freakin' diesel. That's just one big brutal Iron Warrior, and I dig it. The big blue fleshy mass on him is a little strange looking, and I think the giant jetpack could use a little more Chaos flair, but overall I like it.

Holy Crap! that thing is SWEET!

I almost want to say the PK looks a little small compared to the rest of the mini. I think I would of used the klaws from that one Inquisitor mini, that mutant guy with the dual power klaws.

Other then that though, mad props on not only making a really nice deamon prince, but mad props on starting off with a metal mini. That scares alot of people (myself included when I made my warboss)

I was going to use a klaw from the killa kan, btu they were just too big.

The fleshy bit is ther coz thats where the metal minis big backpack normally. I just tried to smooth off the sharp edges by making it looked liek his flesh had bulked out to support the weight of the jump pack. Also, the Valk engine has a big bit missing out of the front where it woudl normall "meld" into the valk hull. In this case ti just left a big hoel that i needed to cover up soem how so i used green stuff to bulk out the shoudlers and smooth over the side of the engine to try and hise it.

Very nice. Helmet from the defiler works perfectly with that model. One thing though - do you hate working with guitar string as much as I do?

Where'd the rocket pack thing come from?

oh... and don't waste strings, there must be something else you could use for wiring (like wiring?)... karma might break your bass string tomorrow when you're jamming and you'll have no backup... there must be some alternative. Strings are to be revered... not converted into toy killing machines.

But way cool model though at any rate.

I went for blue because the majority of DPs i see are all red and purple, and i wanted something. different.

The rocket pack is a chopped down Valkyrie engine.

Thebass string seemed the easiest option for a ribbed cable. Not qorried abotu karma as i dont actually play the bass, i bought the string specially for this model.

if you look at the WIP pics in my gallery you will see why i had to flesh our the shoulder. after you take off the "arms" from the backpack it leaves 2 lumpy chunks of metal behind his shoulders. if i had chopped them down it woudl have ruined the model (as the torso is hollow).
