I have two boxes full of these Orks. Some on spure, some loose, some assembeled and some painted. Can anyone tell me what era are they from? Are these the first plastic Orks from RT?

Prototypes of GW's next Ork line! Sweet!

Just because anyone agrees with anyone, doesn't mean they are correct. Beware the thin line between what is "Correct" and what is "Popular." |

Wow old school.
Those guys were around then I started in 1992.
Still not bad actually compared to some thing.
Like the first Space Marine plastic box set. *spews*

Yep, original "space orks" box.
RT period. Maybe 1991. The plastic arm sprues and weapon sprues were available in those catalogues so I'm guessing the box of boys came out prior.

They are definately worth something, I have seen these go for quite high amounts on Ebay depending upon the condition of the minis and the box.
For a full box of unpainted, still on sprue ones you are looking anywhere up to about £35
Painted or part boxes will be less, £15- £25
If you have one which is still sealed then I would imagine about £50
Sorry to state the obvious, but if you do decide to Ebay them try to be as honest as possible with the description and photos, as it's mainly serious collecters who will be interested in buying them, so they will be fussy about their condition.

When I say two boxes, I mean two boxes full of them. They are actually cramed into two old style predator boxes. Not two boxes worth. I'd have to actually count them up. Like I said some are still on spure. Some painted, some lose. I'll have to take an actual inventory and take some pictures. I don't really want them, so I'll sell them.

Man, this really brings me back. I started collecting 40k in like '95 or '97, so i totally remember these guys, floating around in the armies of the guys i would watch at my FLGS. What a trip to think how much GW (and most other modeling companies for that matter) have improved on sculpting, casting and painting. Just incredible.

I still have loads of these two, but I would not want to sell them. They must be worth something, but not a huge amout, I wouldn't think, as they are not quite what you could call "iconic".
