Battle Report SoCal Slaughter
So, the SoCal Slaughter was a blast, and I whole heartedly encourage people to attend next year. Everyone had a good time and all of my opponents were both skilled players, and very fun to play against. I also got to meet some more Dakkites and some old friends, which is always a pleasure.
So on to the good parts!
My IG list which is not at all optimized, just what I had painted and ready to go at the last minute. I literally didn’t know I was going until the night before the event so I just stuffed some models in a bag and hit the road. In retrospect my Wolves would have been the better bet, but I am very pleased with my list’s performance.
HQ
CCS: Chimera, Astropath, OoF, L.Cannon
Troops
Veterans: Chimera, M.Gun x 3
PCS: Flamer x 4, Chimera w/ H.H.Flamer
Infantry Squad: A.Cannon, M.Gun
Infantry Squad: A.Cannon, M.Gun
Infantry Squad: A.Cannon, M.Gun, Commissar
Special Weapon Squad: Flamer x 3
Elites:
Marbo
Callidus (Stormshadow, I use the old Ninja Assassin model)
Inquisitor: Mystic x 2, Hierophant x 2, Hood
Fast Attack:
Vendetta
Hellhound
Hellhound x 2
Heavy:
Leman Russ: H.Bolter x 3
Demolisher: H.Bolter x 2, H.Flamer
Basilisk
Game 1, Planet Fall
3 objectives which were booby trapped (on a 5 or 6 the unit claiming it takes D6 wounds) running diagonally across the board. You had to be out of your Transport to claim an objective, which is scary for Tau and IG! Corner deployment zones.
Various secondary objectives such as keeping the enemy out of your deployment zone, keeping your most expensive troop alive and for destroying all of your opponent’s heavy support slots.
Opponent:
Lambodomy’s Tau
HQ
Shas’el with 2 gun drones, missile pods, plasma, multi tracker
Troops
Fire Warriors x 6
Fire Warriors x 6
Kroot x 10, Hounds x 6
Kroot x 10, Hounds x 6
Elite:

Fast Attack:
Pathfinders x 5, Devil Fish, beacon, D.pods
Pathfinders x 5, Devil Fish, beacon, D.pods

Heavy:
Broadsides x 2, SMS, S.Drone x 2, ASS
Hammerhead, D.Pods, M.Tracker, T.Array
Hammerhead, D.Pods, M.Tracker, T.Array
This would be a heavily first turn dependent game (as most games are with IG) and I won first turn. We each castled up in our corners and prepared for a shoot out over a mostly open board. The game consisted of me trying to stay the hell away from his rail cannons, and him trying to keep his scoring units the hell away from my Hellhounds. He reserved most everything but his big guns and pathfinders since I was going first and my OoF kept most of his stuff off the board until late game, which was good for his infantry and bad for his suits and Piranhas.
We beat each other up pretty badly, Tau on IG is always a fun game, but in the end it came down to my disruption units buying me time and my tanks eliminating his Infantry. Marbo took out a Pathfinder unit and a Devilfish, Stormshadow stopped the Broadsides from firing for a turn but got killed in combat by them in the next round! Oh for shame! He’s going to get made fun of for that in the assassin locker room for a long time to come.
The exploding objectives were lame; twice my infantry claimed an objective, only to have it blow them up. One unit was destroyed, the other failed their morale check and ran off (I won a prize for worst luck in game 1 for that!).
At game’s end it was me with the middle objective and contesting Lambodomy’s flank objective. He came in to contest the middle objective last turn with his Hammerhead, but immobilized himself on the two Piranhas my immobile Demolisher had destroyed with a single H.Flamer shot! He would have tied me had that not happened. I had my most expensive infantry unit still alive and no enemy units in my deployment zone, but failed to destroy all of his heavy support, so I took the game with 18 points.
Great game, and Lambodomy plays a damn good game with Tau who struggle in 5th.
Game 2, Cut off the Head
12” Deployment Zones. Reverse Kill points: you earn kill points for units left alive, transports don’t count. Secondary for killing the enemy HQ, bonus for killing their HQ with your HQ (hahaha, yeah right!).
Opponent: Dawson from the Imperial Vox Caster Pod Cast’s Wolves (I can’t remember your handle on Dakka, Dawson, sorry, I lost my packet I wrote all of that stuff down on).
HQ:
Lord on T.Wolf with T.Hammer, S.Shield Necklace
Elite:
Dreadnought, M.Melta, H.Flamer, Pod
Dreadnought, M.Melta, H.Flamer, Pod
Troops:
Grey Hunters x 10, Pod, Melta x 2, MotW, P.Weapon
Grey Hunters x 10, Rhino, Melta, P.Gun, MotW, P.Weapon
Grey Hunters x 10, Rhino, Melta, P.Gun, MotW, P.Weapon
Fast:
T.Wolf Cav x 5, P.Fist
Heavy:
Long Fangs x 6, M.Launcher x 5
Long Fangs x 6, M.Launcher x 5
Long Fangs x 6, M.Launcher x 5
So a nasty Wolf list, but one I am pretty familiar with. I knew that I needed to destroy the Long Fangs first. I won first turn which was huge. I castled up in a flank, and put my Hellhound squad out on the other flank to threaten the only other cover in his deployment zone. I alpha struck him really hard, eliminating two longs fangs squads right off the bat, immobilized one Rhino and badly damaged the third Long Fang squad. He then immobilized his other Rhino is his own deployment zone, which was a huge kick in the nuts for him. He Dropped both Dreads in position to go for an all out attack, one deviated back out of range, the other dropped right into my castle. My mystics let my Vendetta fire on the Dread and I rolled all 3 misses. Good luck its twin linked, right? 3 misses again. Son of @$%! The Dread then meltas my Demolisher and it explodes.
The Callidus and Marbo come in and wipe out the remnants of the a Long Fang squad, combined fire wipes out the Dreads (Hellhound to rear armor is nice!). The game looked ot be a done deal at this point when Dawson rolled a 6” fleet on his T.Wolf super unit and made the charge on my Russ by a fraction of an inch. All of a sudden he was in my castle with a super unit it was a game again. I then proceeded to run away from the scary wolves, splitting units and trying to keep everyone alive for another few turn to seal the win. I pulled it off, and the crowning moment of the game was when my special weapon squad ran out and shot the Wolf Lord with flamer sand flashlights and killed him n one volley with three failed saves! He won worst luck of round two for that.
So, I pulled off the Primary, Secondary and 1 bonus, ending with 18 points.
Dawson was an awesome opponent and rolled with the bad luck with a laugh. I definitely enjoyed the game and think that had he gone first, it very easily could have been a butt kicking for me.
Game 3, Strike at the Heart
12” Deployment Zones, but can’t deploy within 6” of the short board edges. 4 Objectives, 6 points for taking an opponent’s objective, 3 for protecting your own, 2 bonus points if your HQ takes an Objective. To take an objective, a unit with a WS had to hold it uncontested for one player turn, at which point it is scored and taken off the board.
Opponent: Andrew (I forgot your Dakka handle too, sorry, Andrew) and his Chaos Marines.
HQ:
Lash Prince
Lash Prince
Greater Daemon
Troops:
Chaos Marines x 10, IoCG, M.Gun x 2, Champ, Fist, Rhino, Havoc Launcher
Noise Marines x 6, S.Blaster, Champ, Fist, Doom Siren, Rhino, Havoc Launcher
Thousand Sons x 9, Sorcerer, Gift of Chaos, Rhino, Havoc Launcher
Plague Marines x 7, M.Gun x 2, Champ, Fist, Rhino, Havoc Launcher
Plague Marines x 5, P.Gun x 2
Heavy:
Havocs x 6, M.Launcher x 4, IoCG
Defiler, DDCW x 4
So, an unconventional Chaos army, but Andrew was in first place in battle points with one more than me, so I knew he was skilled. I took one look at his list and knew I had to go first or I was in trouble. He won the roll and decided to go first. We both put down objectives and in retrospect I should have put spread mine out, but I grouped them in the opposite corner of where he grouped his.
He deployed his fast and mounted units to rush my objectives, and put his shooting units on his objectives. I deployed in a split front, mobile scoring units and hellhounds opposite his objectives, everything else defending my objectives.
He knew exactly how to play against me, and bum rushed me turn one blowing smoke on all Rhinos. His Princes Lash was shut down by my Hood. My shooting phase I totally whiffed, doing no damage. At this point I knew he would take my objective and I was playing for a tie.
He hit my lines, and gobbled up everything I had defending my objectives over three turns. I put up as good of a fight as I could, but once that much assault power gets into IG, they fold. In the end I took both of his objectives, and he took both mine, but one of his Daemon princes took my last objective to give him the bonus points, giving him the win, 14 to 12.
Highlights: Marbo popped up, threw his demo charge and destroyed all but the Plague Marine champ who then turned into the Greater Daemon and charged Marbo. Marbo then killed the Greater Daemon in one round of combat! Haha, don’t mess with Rambo buddy, or you get sent right back to the warp!
Stormshadow single handedly wiped out the units defending an objective and took it. He redeemed himself after getting his butt kicked by Broadsides.
Best moment: As my last act of defiance in a losing game, I charged a unit of 3 Rubric marines defending my opponent’s last objective with 5 Guardsmen. The tough little bastards hit the marines 5 times, wounded 5 times (needing 5’s) and the Thousand Sons failed all their saves! That gave me the objective and saved me from a major loss.
Great game, Andrew plays a funky list and plays it well, and is a very skilled player and a lot of fun to play. Despite losing, I still had a really fun game.
Game 4, Thinning Their Numbers
Diagonal Deployment zones, and preliminary bombardment (unit is hit on a 6, takes D6 wounds, vehicles are stunned). Primary: wipe out all units in a force org slot (auto points if your opponent takes nothing in that category), secondary: defend one of your two objectives, bonus for controlling an opponent’s objective and bonus for destroying an enemy HQ.
Opponent: Hulksmash and his Nasty Wolves. Hulksmash is a buddy of mine and a good player, so I knew I was in for a really tough game against one of the meanest lists you are likely to see.
HQ:
Logan
Elites:
Lone Wolf, P.Weapon
Lone Wolf, P.Weapon
Troops:
Grey Hunters x 5, Melta, H.Bolter Razorback, W.Guard with C.Melta
Grey Hunters x 5, Melta, H.Bolter Razorback, W.Guard with C.Melta
Grey Hunters x 5, Melta, H.Bolter Razorback, W.Guard with C.Melta
Grey Hunters x 5, Flamer, H.Bolter Razorback, W.Guard with C.Flamer
Wolf Guard Terminators x 6, P.Weapon, Claw/SS, 2 x Claws, Cyclone/PW, Cyclone/CF
Heavy:
L.Fangs x 6, M.Launcher x 5
L.Fangs x 6, M.Launcher x 5
L.Fangs x 6, M.Launcher x 5
This list is the business. I knew I had to go first or I would be facing a really tough fight. Brad won first turn though, so I deployed in a refused flank and reserved a lot of units, trying to put myself out of range of as many of the 19 rockets a turn this list could put out as possible! I made my first mistake in this game byt forgetting to use Stormshadow’s Word in Your Ear special ability, which cost me. Never forget your special rules!
The game was a slug fest, we were shooting the bejeesus out of each other, but the turning point was turn 2 and 3 when Hulksmash had a killer round of shooting and every vehicle he aimed at was destroyed. I shot and shot as much as I could, but I couldn’t stop him from taking out all of my Heavy Support and Fast Attack. He blew up my Bassie with a ludicrous shot through 3+ cover that exploded it, killing 11 guardsmen nearby!
The real turning point though, that cost me the game and the tournament, was when Stormshadow went after a Long Fang unit, hit it with his template weapon, and they stupid fangs broke and ran 11” away ensuring they would rally next turn! Argh! Had they not broke, I would have assaulted them and only needed to kill one of them to get the points for taking out his heavy support, which would have earned me two points, and taken one away from him (each player gets 2 points if they mutually destroy the other’s FOC slot). The, to add insult to injury, a lone wolf running by snapped off a shot with his bolt pistol, killing Stormshadow before he could get back in to finish off the Long Fangs. Le Sigh.
In the end, I lost 7 to 9. Brad and I had a fun game though, and I made two mistakes (the other was forgetting to shoot a key unit on the last turn, but as the game ended on 5 it ended up not making a difference). We both thought we had screwed each other out of taking the top spot since we got so few points off of each other. Had the game gone another turn, Hulksmash would have gotten at least 3 more points off of me, but the game ended early. Had I gone first, I think I would have taken it, but I didn’t. It was a fun game though, and I hope to get my revenge in the near future!
Game 5, No Holding Back
Table Quarters, Slaughter Kill Points (each unit is worth 1 kill point per 100 points the unit costs, rounding up for non troops and down for troops). The player with the most slaughter points earns the primary which was 12 points, secondary was 2 points for every table quarter held.
Opponent: Manimal and his mech Blood Angels. This was a nasty list too, but the mission was perfect for me, IG love table Quarters. I felt good against this army considering what else I might have drawn.
HQ:
Libby in T.Armor and S.Shield
Elites:
Assault Termies x 6, 2 x claws, 4 x SS/TH
Sanguinary Priest x 3, 2 x J.Pack, 1 x T.Armor
LRC
Troops:
Assault Squad x 10, M.Gun x 2, Fist
Assault Squad x 10, M.Gun x 2, Fist
Fast:
Baal Pred
Baal Pred
Heavy:
Vindy, Siege Shield
Pred, A.Cannon, L.Cannons
Devastators x 5, M.Launcher x 4
I won first turn which was huge. I needed to Alpha Strike him or get uber pwned by assault termies. He reserved up everything not in a can and failed to seize the initiative. I then proceeded to see the worst luck in any game I have ever played.
I knocked the weapons off both Baals and destroyed the Predator turn 1. Turn 2 he advances, I send the Melta Vets on a suicide run to try and stop the LRC, hit it through smoke, blow it up and the Deathstar unit inside fails their pen check on box cars! Ouch.
The, Marbo pops up and immobilizes the Vindy with his demo charge. I then kill enough Termies to force a break check, they fail again on box cars! Holy Crap. They run 11”…….right next to Marbo so they can’t rally.
Manimal shoot the house at Marbo, who goes to ground for a 2+ cover and lives. Next turn, the Deathstar runs off the board, and the Dev squad takes a break check, fails as well and…runs off the board! I couldn’t believe my eyes! I felt so bad for my opponent, he was having the worst luck and my dice were red hot. He just laughed it off though, which was impressive. I would have been bitter at the world!
At that point the game was pretty much over. His assault squads finally came on to be greeted by my entire army. We then just stated doing wacky stuff like ramming each other’s tanks and screwing around to have fun. Manimal took a serious lemon and made lemonade, I have never seen anyone take such bad luck with such a good attitude.
I ended up with max battle points, only because of his extreme bad luck. Manimal is an awesome opponent and I would love to play him again, as I am sure without craptastic luck, he would have given me a hell of a game.
That put me at 75 battle points, and in first place. If my buddy Dave would hold Dash of pepper to no more than 4 points, I would win best general and earn my Golden Ticket!
In the end, Dash lost to Dave, but got 6 battle points, just edging me out for Best General. I ended up tying Dave for Best Overall, but he had 4 votes for players choice to me 2, so he beat me on the tie breaker and earned his golden ticket.
So good for him! Dave is a friend, and a good guy and I know he wanted that ticket as badly as I did, so hat’s off to him.
For a list that I don’t think it all that nasty, I am happy with my performance. I lost the games I went second in narrowly, but won the games I went first by large margins. That shows me the weakness of the list and where it needs to be altered. The bassie, despite being considered a subpar Heavy choice, was fantastic. It was taking out vehicles left and right, and with not a ton of area terrain, I was blasting MEQ’s out of their boots left and right.
The Hellhounds in a squadron were great. They are fast and with H.Bolters and two inferno cannons, they were just stacking huge amounts of wounds on units.
The Callidus/Marbo/Astropath tag team is sweet. They are such a disruption unit and can be game winning.
The Atucannon/Melta combo on my blob squad was good, but plasma would have been better. I took melta because I was worried about Battle Wagons or LRC’s bum rushing my lines. I needed something to scare them.
All in all, a great tournament with a ton of Dakkites there which was super fun. I can’t wait for the next GT where I hope to secure my ticket to the Vegas GT! I have come really close twice now, I think third time will be a charm.

Nice batreps, good job...sorry you just barely missed out on both best general and best overall, that stinks.
Even though I did well in the end, this weekend drove a few things home for me - Tau are hard to win with if you don't play a really tough list...and I don't know the rules as well as I think I do, even for my own army. Multiple rules flubs for me all weekend. Skimmers don't immobilize until they get to their destination, not like regular vehicles! I woulda made it! Noooooooo! Luckily my army was so WAAC that I got marked down three points on comp by opponents! How dare Tau dominate the shooting phase!

I didn't know that either! Wow, then yeah, you would have made it! It would have come down to if my guardsmen could have blown up a Hammerhead with a cover save in the last round of shooting!
You got dinged on comp? Hahah, Tau should automatically get full points, just like Necrons.
Well, I had a really fun game, and that stinks we missed that rule, I thought they were immobilized at the point of terrain like all other vehicles.
Good to meet you, Lambadomy!

I'm sure it did not matter, I just hate not knowing rules. I let some beasts climb up a building in a later game too. It also didn't matter, but I'm a dummy.
Everyone has their own opinions on comp, and my army is really, really spammy. So long as the mission isn't objectives or the objectives are something like table quarters, I do fine. I only got to go first in one game all weekend, and when I did it was not pretty.
It was really good to meet you, I was glad to play a fellow Dakkaite in a laid back game in the first round, it really helped me settle into the event and have a good time. Hopefully someday I'll get revenge in a rematch!

Oh yeah for sure, if you would have gone first, you could very easily have shot me off the board! I got lucky with that.
If my Infantry had not been able to pop the Hammerhead it would have been a 12 point swing! That would have totally changed the game. Also, if my guardsmen had not been able to keep your crisis suits tied up in combat, you would have gotten the secondary from me.
But it was a really good game, and yeah, really laid back. I like it that way, a lot more fun.
I am sure we will play again! I saw you hanging out with Yakface, janthkin and Blackmoor, so it seems like you got to meet a lot of the fellas. It is fun to get into the tournaments as it is a community of like minded people to hang out with and test your wits and luck against.

You have an elite inquisitor and an assassin, elite allies are 0-1
|
-Any terrain containing Sly Marbo is dangerous terrain.
-Sly Marbo once played an objective mission just to see what it was like to not meet every victory condition on his own.
-Sly Marbo bought a third edition rulebook just to play meat grinder as the attacker.
-Marbo doesn't need an Eldar farseer as an ally; his enemies are already doomed
-Sly Marbo was originally armed with a power weapon, but he dropped it while assaulting a space marine command squad just so his enemies could feel pain
-Sly Marbo still attacks the front armor value in assault, for pity's sake. |

Can't you, say, take the inquisitor from the DH codex and the assassin from the WH codex?
Also, Reecius, if going first is so important to your army, why don't you take the emperor's tarot?
Yeah, I got to meet a lot of people, had dinner with Yakface/Janthkin/Blackmoor and lunch sunday with Shep and AbsoluteBlue and their group. Oddly I had only really met two people at the tournament before and ended up playing both of them.

Good read Reecius. Sorry you missed out on your golden ticket again! I think it's only a matter of time for you based on your consistent top general showings.
I'm bummed I couldn't make the SIS this year. I had some prior commitments and couldn't get away for an entire weekend. It sounds like I missed out on a great tournament.
Edit: Manimal, Shep and a few other dakkaites will be playing in the Aero Hobbies RTT on Saturday. I know it's a drive for you but if you can, please join us (and sign up ahead of time slots are limited ).

A. Witch Hunters and Daemonhunters are

may only be taken in an army that has an

Callidus/Eversor/etc assassins are "Officio Assasinorium Operatives", not Death Cult assassins, and while they also have a rule that says they need an inquisitor, the FAQ entry does not apply to them because it doesn't mention them.
Not to say that GW didn't mean for it to include them, just that it doesn't appear to.

Ah, crap, I believe you are correct about the two Elites.
Dang, I always take the Lord Inquisitor but this time I switched to the Elite without thinking about it.
That is what you get when you make your list in 2 minutes, I literally threw it together and just ran out the door based on what models I had painted at hand.
Well shoot, the list judges missed it too, but then, they got my list last minute. They never mentioned anything to me and I didn't catch it myself.
Man, I feel bad now. It didn't make any real difference, but it does make my list illegal.
Shoot, I wonder if I should return my prize?
@Kevin Nash
I would totally come, Shep and Manimal and yourself, and the rest of your crew are all super cool guys. But I am running in the Ragnar Race this weekend.
I am trying to get up to the stratigicon RTT on memorial day weekend. It is a one day, 3 game, 2,000 point RTT, are you guys going?
@Lambadomy
I usually do take the Tarot, this time I didn't because I made my list so fast I forgot to add it in. It would have made a difference in both games I went second as my opponent rolled one higher than me both time.

@pretre: thanks, I see now.
@Reecius: It is like a 15 point difference to take an inquisitor lord with three mystics vs an Elite inquisitor with 2x mystics 2x heirophants. Whoopty do. Buut...you can give me your prize
man I'd never heard of the Ragnar Race before, that sounds really neat.

Yeah, it did make a big difference in our game. That was the only time and the most important time.

Well, it was totally unintentional, I thought I could do the swip swaperoo and take one from each.
I shall flagellate myself mercilessly for my cheating ways!

@lambadomy: Different FOC slot was important for the 'Kill HQ' missions.
Oh and I'm not trying to flog Reece. Just providing the B&W of the points.
It's one of those arcane bits that makes dealing with allies a pain.

@Lambadomy
Yeah, it was a tiny p[oints difference, but in my game against Hulksmash it was big because then the unit would have been HQ instead of Elite and he would have gotten more points from me.....but then of course I would have played differently, so who's to say. That is a bummer though. I am glad I didn't get the ticket now sine it would have been clouded by controversy. If I do win one, I want it to be cleanly.
The Ragnar race is awesome, we run 200 miles in 24 hours as a relay. Well, it is going to be painful at the time, but fun when it's done! Automatically Appended Next Post: I sent a PM to the TO and let him know about the mistake on my part. If I need to return my prize or what not, then I will.
That really sucks, I feel bad. I should have checked the FAQ's more closely before making my list. I just didn't have the time.

Hey I'm sure it was an honest mistake. I wouldn't worry about it since you didn't win a golden ticket. Next time you'll know better. : )

Yeah, it truly was an honest mistake, I mean hell, i posted the list for all the world to see here on Dakka so I wasn't trying to be sneaky or anything. I will definitely know better next time though!

So next time, you WON'T post the list for all the world to see?
I don't want to rag on you - it always sucks when you have to make last-second changes, and keeping track of all the FAQs in moments of haste is extremely difficult. I'm glad you got to come play, and I hope this won't tarnish your memories of the event. It's too bad we don't have an extremely expensive high-speed rail connecting SoCal with your more civilized neighbors to the north, or I'd see you folks more often.
I think Dakka should take over the Slaughter, and make it our own. Adepticon is a wonderful event, but too big and way too busy to just kick back and toss it around like we were this weekend. (Though Saturday ended way too early - we need some evening open gaming space next year!)

yo reecius, great batreps! it was nice meeting ya the slaughter and dont sweat the mistake...the list judges need a kick in the ass cuz they also overlooked the fact that shep accidentally made a 2130 pt list...thankfully he caught the mistake himself in the morning before the tourney started and left his banewolf in the car (;

@Janthkin
Hahaha, yes, next time I will be sneaky about it!
It was good to see you again buddy. And I think Dakka pretty much did dominate the Slaughter this year! I agree though some open gaming would have been cool just to hang out and shoot the bull.
I am going to try and come up to the GT in Frisco this summer, I can't remember the name, though. I will shoot you a PM and see if you are going too.
How did your game with, yakface go? I never got to check in on that one.
@Antman677
Nice to meet you, too! Your army was awesome, BTW. One of the coolest I have seen.
Yeah, it was an accident, it only made a significant difference in one game really, every other game the Inquisitor was a non issue.

We dropped the ball on Shep and Reese. I can't speak for the other guys, but the Inquisitor looked like a lord when he was on the list so that was the reason from my brainfart. Scott will ultimately have to decide how he wants to handle this, but from my perspective, if Reese lost 3 BPs and Brad Gained three, it would mean this:
Brad would have tied Dash on BPs, but Dash would have won the tie breaker (player scored comp) and still been Best General. Reece would have been third Best General. Brad would move up in the overall standings and Reese would move down slightly.
The ugly part is that if that 3 points up and three points down occurs, then I think (looking at the score sheet) Brad would have played Dash in round 5 and David Fay would have played Andrew Davis, instead of Justin (he got paired up because Davis played Dash previously) and who knows what would have changed at that point. That is something we can't correct, unfortunately.
I guess my suggestion would be to work out an agreement between the two of you (since you are friends) and we will adjust the scores accordingly. I guess I have to take the blame for this, since I was spending a lot of time playing ringers and side events and I should have done the list auditing for Scott. I hate to see errors like this and I blame Reese as this is obviously revenge for the drubbing my Sisters gave him in the playtest tourney the previous week!
Anyhow, you two have my number. Give me a call later and I will see what I can work out. Automatically Appended Next Post: PS- I think we are going to try and rent a spare hotel meeting room for open gaming next time, since the hall costs too much to have running friday evening and people seem to want it.

That sounds fair to me.
Brad and I talked about it and we both felt like leaving things be was fine since it was an honest mistake.
But if he changes his mind, that is fine by me, just let me know.
Also, I wouldn't have lost any points, Brad would just have gained some so I would have stayed where I was.

OK cool, I am glad my mistake didn't upset anyone.
We are all adults as you said Hulksmash, and this is just a game of Toy Soldiers!
We all had fun, and that was the most important part.
The Golden Ticket would have been nice though! We'll get ours in June, buddy!

I see that you're copy-pasting this all over Dakka. I won't deign to respond here as I did elsewhere.
And Reece, thanks for being a wingman! No way did I want to face down our good friend Brad. He was my designated driver (not that I needed one, right?) and if I had to listen to him for 45 minutes on the way to Medieval Times about how badly he smoked me, I was would have been unmanned.
Just make sure you two show up to the Nova Open in August so that we can settle this.
