Subject: Space Wolves Second Wave?

Has anybody heard any rumours about if and when a Space Wolves second wave will be released, especially if they are releaing Thunder Wolf Cavalry. I am sure they must do this as there are very few things on the market that can be used a at decent conversions for TWC. It seems slightly idiotic to put something like that in the Codex and not release a model for it, unless they want a lot of Canis Wolfbane's to be bought?

I don't like these kind of threads.
GW's new policy s to include units even if they don't yet have a model. Half the popular new Tyranid units don't have a model. Leaves GW the opportunity to release things within the next 5 years, which is good.
Until then look here for wolves: http://www.mrdandy.com/wargamma-battle-wolves/

I don't really foresee a 2nd wave of space wolves, I think the best we can hope for is forge world pieces in a year.

If they release Thunderwolves for goodness sake let the wolves be big enough and strong enough to gallollop at full tilt with an 8 foot, metal bound, armed to the gunnels, thug on his/her back.

Wow, thoses wolves look nice! I don't even play SW but I'm tempted to get a couple of the wolves just for the fun of modeling and painting.

I'm always surprised at people's reactions to this, or belief that they won't ever see the models. GW has made it very clear that every unit within a new codex will receive a model. Maybe not at initial release, but eventually. It's a method that allows GW to spread out the work involved for a codex release, as well as provide long term army players something to buy in the future. (and not feel neglected for years on end)

Agreed on all counts!
I thought, and still think, the idea of Marines riding on wolves is incredibly stupid.
I'm glad we didn't get Marines riding on bats this last time around.
Having said all that, those giant wolves are nice looking!
And, since there doesn't seem to be any news or rumors going on here...

I haven't heard or seen anything suggesting a 2nd Wave. Basically all the vehicles have new kits, the Space Wolves Pack box covers all the units and Forgeworld have made the Venerable Dread. The only thing without a model is the Thunderwolf Cavalry.

"As I recall, your face was tortured. Imagine that - the Master of the Wolves, his ferocity twisted into grief. And yet you still carried out your duty. You always did what was asked of you. So loyal. So tenacious. Truly you were the attack dog of the Emperor. You took no pleasure in what you did. I knew that then, and I know it now. But all things change, my brother. I'm not the same as I was, and you're... well, let us not mention where you are now."

Fenrisian wolves don't have an official model either. While wolves from the fantasy range work, they don't match the artwork either.
I thin kwe'll eventually see plastic models for both TWC and fenrisian wolves. But, it might be awhile.
