Subject: Converting a 3rd Edition Carnifex to a tervigon

ok, so at my FLGS, they are selling 3rd edition carnifexs at 12 euros each. now, i had a couple ideas of adding a tervigon to my army, though i had to ask a few questions first...
1) Is the model metal?
2) If question number one is yes, then is it a good idea to even USE it.
3) Would the scything talon legs hold up the model?
4) are the back legs ideal to convert to tervigon legs the same way as a 4th edtions?
5) Is it ok to make a tail and birthing sack out of GS?
thanks
P.S the picture is here to help out

Yes its metal, and i think itll be very hard to make it into a tervigon. That said, at 12 euros a piece, its not exactly a major loss to try.

Difficult to make a tervigon out of that - make a good cheap hive tyrant though?

Even if you can't make a Tervigon, I'd still grab one or two since they're fairly cheap.

ill see any alternatives, though there might be another way to make it into a tervigon, the set if im not mistaken comes with 2 pairs of ST, i have a pair of 4th editon ST, maybe i can keep the legs on unmodified, though the large ST would be on the ground while the other pair is raised, sort of the tervigon is roaring. any thoughts? im also considering using the 4th edition carnifex head for an alternate
