Lighting isn't your problem here. You need a camera with a Tripod, Timer, and Macro setting.

If you can borrow a camera with macro and have a tripod I think you are on to a winner. It really is tricky taking photos of minis without them

ok to be fair, in summary;

None of the photos so far have been enough to make any commentary on the paintjob/model- I thought I was able to tell you what colour it was, but the more recent photos are clearly in contrast to what I initially thought.

This is like the enigma thread.
