*cue intense rock music intro*

So I thought since DAKKA is home to pretty much ever nerd on the planet, we should have a nerdy deadliest warrior. We will pit 2 fantasy/sci-fi warriors in a one on one match up, with a description of them, and up to 4 weapons to compare and see who is the top dog. Lets try and keep the 2 in a some what balanced fight. I mean pitting a lost boy against a rancor is just silly. Then will add a poll to see what DAKKA says

IS DEADLIEST!

Ork boy

Orks are an uncountable legion of muscle and steel clad ass kickery! Boyz are the bulk of any Ork horde and are no stranger to a fight. Boyz dont normally live a long life, but the life they do live are full of violence and brutal combat. What they lack in military training, the Ork Boy more then makes up in cunning and savagery.

Weapons
Choppa - the main weapon and of all boyz. Simple and crude the choppa in the hand of any boy becomes a deadly weapon capable of lobbing off limbs with ease
Slugga - the companion of the choppa. A massive pistol that shoots blobs of steel and junk the size of a mans fist. Incredibly inaccurate, but when it hits, it packs a punch
Big Shoota - Any boy can chop and shoot blindly, but it takes a special type of Ork Boy to carry a Big Shoota. A massive heavy machine gun designed to bring instant death, or instant hearing loss to any near it. Usually boyz let loose a volley just to light a cigarette, but sometimes they are trying to kill you!
Stick Bombs - Rarely used by throwing, normally boyz just use it as a club until it detonates. But its a bomb...ON A STICK! DEADLY!!!!!!

Klingon Warrior

Once a mindless warmonger, Klingons are now more noble (sure lets change EVERYONE to good guys lol) Their culture is based around war and combat and they adhere to a strict code of conduct. To them dying is glory, and being wounded are grounds of suicide. Although Orkz worship 2 gods, the Klingons slew their gods!

Weapons
Qutluch - Is a ceremonial weapon used by assassins. It is designed to cause massive damage to internal organs.
Bat'leth - The bat'leth is a curved blade with spiked protrusions and three handholds along the middle of the blade's back. In battle, the handholds are used to twirl and spin the blade rapidly
Disruptors - Only 3 races are known to use a type-3 disruptor, and the Klingon warrior is one of them. It is an energy weapon that cause damage by exciting the molecular bonds of there enemies!

Two warriors that have never met on the field of battle, but thanks to DAKKA DEADLIEST WARRIOR, they will for the first time, be able to fight in a battle to the DEATH!
So dakka....... WHO IS DEADLIEST?!?

The disruptors don't sound too bad to the Orks, as their tissue and genetic material is practically repairing itself in new and interesting ways 24/7 anyway!

Yes,but the disruptor basicly vaporizes organic matter instantly, the ork boy wouldn't have time to repair that.
And IMO, in a one on one fight, the Klingon is going to have a bit more finess,so if the ork doesn't get the kill right off,I belive the Klingon would take him down.

Although that is an honest question, this is DAKKA DEADLIEST WARRIOR!!!!! Things are suppose to make perfect sense. I personally think it would be a good fight. They are both all about getting in close and choppin heads.

So cmon folks, 4 days left of the voting! Ill even try and make a humorous picture of the victor! Unless someone with real artsy talents wants to lend a hand in that department

Klingon-disciplined HTH fighter. Body armor (of some sort anyway). They live the dream in personal HTH although will occasionally shoot at you (and are accurate). Limited to human trained level strength, desterity, and toughness however.

Ork. designed for combat. Take lots of damage. Not very well trained-more of the bash bash method. Have really big axes and such.

Range weapon-Klingon win
CC weapon-batlith Klingon win
special weapon-Ork Headbutt ork win

Combat resolution 527 to 473, ork win with Headbutt proving the best weaopn overall. yea orks.

i agree with the above. Klingons seem to be more well thoughtful of their actions. Mind you I haven't seen retro star trek in quite some years but.

I say in a war. Orks a Waaaghhh could easily threaten the ENTIRE star trek universe.

If I recall correctly, don't Klingons have redundant organs to keep them alive? I think that would make them somewhat tougher than a human.

Omadon's Realm

Somewhat tougher than a human isn't ork. Ork would take down a klingon in short order in H2H.

Ranged is klingon, since their weaponry is more advanced and they have a BS of 3, about equal to everyone else.

Bat'leth is designed to slice and stab, ork physiology is extremely resistant to this, hence their ability to survive Painboy surgery and full limb loss without going into shock and dying.

The klingon would leap about, dealing vicious slices and cuts to the ork in places where, in most humanoids, tendons would sever and organs puncture, but due to being half fungus, half algae biological supersoldiers built by the Old Ones to combat the threat of the necrons, the ork would simply become more and more enraged and mangle the klingon into itty bitty pieces.

The ork has the upper hand in close combat, but loses at range due to both superior weaponry and skills of klingon marksman. The ranged advantage is significant, but the orks size and strength is not so significant as to put them high enough above the klingons in melee to make up for the loss in a gun battle.

In one on one I give this to the klingons due to heavy ranged superiority vs the orks minor hand to hand superiority.

Please a Klingon, An ork would tear them to shreads. An orks physiology would give the ork an insta-win. Can a Klingon staple his arm back together like nothing, no. Orks also have psychic powers, they can make a gun made of dirt shoot, and kill things with it. Yeah Klingons do have great marksmanship, but in deadliest warrior, how does is the victor win, close combat.

Hey now THERE is a good fantasy fight. I think when this runs its course, Ill hold a poll where people just suggest another match up and then go from there.

Also I have to say, you guys are GOOD at point/counter point. I started this thinking
"yea Klingons are cool, but Orks would own them"
And now I still personally think an Ork would win but it would be a harder match up then I previously thought. I think the fact that yes, and Ork boy is comparable in parts to a strong human. But the fact that they are so incredibly tough and hard to kill is why I think they will come out the victor. Anywho, few days left everyone! And then we will have a victor, with a horribly paint shopped picture of the winner. Unless an artist wants to make this thread even better lol

Side note, I think Goldeneyedscout VS Frazzes wiener dogs should be in consideration for the next match up

The ork would tear the klingon apart in hand to hand. At a distance the klingon would probably have the advantage, although it would largely come down to chance (i.e. if the ork can actually hit something).

I voted for the ork, although it's largely dependent on just how they're supposed to be fighting.

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it.

I think DAKKA! Deadliest warrior should always have some warhammer related fighter against another geek-related fighter. Also how good is Klingon armour as that's also a factor you have to take into consideration when fighting an

ork, plus toughness seems to be less important than armour save in warhammer 40k. And isn't the polls always going to be biased as this is a games-workshop realated fansite.

Your new, so all I can say is, read some of the 40k discussion threads, and then go to the you make da call section and see if people really LOVE GW as much as your thinking lol.

I honestly think people will pick who they think would win, not just because one is a 40k character and one isnt. And we dont have to have 1 from a GW brand. It can be anything that is fantasy/scifi and that I can wiki if I have no clue about them

Don't worry I know that most Dakkites aren't that big on GW's way of business, it's just that some of them might be more familiar to warhammer 40k lore than star trek, which might make their opinions somewhat bias.
