Decided the other day to replace some of the Warriors in my `Ard Boyz list with Immortals. Not used them in forever, so they were in need of repairs and touch ups. Reminds me how much I hate how their gun is assembled. Anyway, here are the first six Immortals I owned, some of the very first Necrons I ever got when they first came out, all prettied up for their return to glory.

Not I gotta get the other eight I was given once but never got around to assembling or painting all finished up tonight because I don't know if I'll have time tomorrow... Not that, you know, my paint scheme/technique requires all that much time and effort, I'm just lazy.

Like your color scheme. Simple, but effective.

Are you going to base them?

Nah, I typically don't base my figs. I think basing looks good for show pieces, but it often ends up out of place. Real nice scenic grass and foliage for example, but you end up playing on a desert or snow or city table. Or your guy ripping off the head of some poor Space Marine, but you're playing against Eldar. I prefer simple black bases for game peaces.

Got the other eight done. This batch is a bit more special modeling wise. Because I've had them for so long, unassembled but not in the original blisters, parts were lost. Had to replace several arms and gun tips with plastic versions from the piles of spare Warriors I've got. One of them even had to have a whole new gun built from Warrior guns, which I personally think I did a darn good job on blending into the unit, not that you can't tell which one it is if you're looking for it. Oh, and because as mentioned I don't like basing my figs, I went thru and cut off their tabs and put them on non-slotted bases, so they look better. I did it on the first six too but didn't mention it.

I'm also still waffling on the list I'm going to bring, and my current line of thought has me bringing along my first Necron Lord to once again fight for the cause. Like the first Immortals, he was showing his age, so I touched him up, brightened up his gold with a light extra layer, and repainted his cloak with a better drybrush of the current darker blue I've been using for my Lords' attire.

They paint scheme IS pretty cool. Quite a difference to typical silver Necron armies...

Win/Draw/Lost statics
Space Orks: 11/1/1
Space Marines: 10/2/5
Lizardmen: 8/2/3
High Elves: 13/2/2 and one tournament victory!
Dark Eldar: 1/0/0
