Thanks in advance for comments. I wanted to get some suggestions before applying this to any models. I will probably freehand on the tanks but I am going to use decal paper for the shoulderpads. There is no way I could paint that level of detail at that size.

this is my first attachment on Dakka. If it doesnt show I will read the FAQ and fix it.

It looks pretty cool, but reminds me of something a Black Templars successor would be.
Did you use paint or an actual program for it?

It looks good, but may be a little too much. It looks like you have taken every icon that relates to the blood angels and tried to use it.
There's a chalice, a blood drop, wings, a skull, and a Templar style cross thrown in for good measure.
I would suggest reducing that to just 2 or 3 elements. maybe you could have a winged chalice with the cross, or a chalice, blood drop and cross. Not only will that make the design more succinct but would make it easier to paint.
Just my ideas, make of them what you will.

KingCracker- I used paint. It took quite a while. I know the templar cross is primarily for the BT but I thought it would be fitting for the chapter name.
Stubby GB- I originally just had the blood drop and the grail with the cross(remeniscent of the grail knights in history, and alluding to 40k occuring before fantasy). Then after I did that I got a bit carried away.
I'll adjust it and post it as its original.
Thanks
*EDIT- Here is the original before I got carried away

I definitely like this one better.
I like the cross idea. They have obvious ties to the BA's as they are a successor, but there may also be ties to the inquisition... Do you actually know the fluff yet for your chapter ? Is there a grail that they are searching for ? do you know what it is ?

Blood Angel Neophyte Undergoing Surgeries
|
In the beginning the Black Grail Knights were known as the [deleted]. They were an obvious successor of the legendary BA. However, in the thousand years since their founding, not one of their number had succumbed to the genetic curse. During battle with the Orks (who else) in the underground caverns of a frozen world known as [deleted]. They discovered in a blown out wall of the ice cavern an inoperable yet well preserved STC. As edicts from the Treaty of Mars dictate, it was to be returned to the Priests of Mars. In response to thier "gift" the Magos ordered a lifegiver machine to be refitted. The purpose of the lifegiver machine is to produce human blood of generic genetics, but of specific blood types (ie A+, AB- etc). This is used by medics and surgeons in the Imperial Guard Regimental Aid Stations to keep blood for transfusions in stock for the countless wounded guardsmen. (I suddently imagine Hawkeye Pierce from Mash getting shot in the face by a commisar... but I digress) Istead of producing genetically generic blood, it would produce a blood from a very specific genetic framework. The DNA was to come the gene seed stores of Mars that are used to create successor chapters. It came from the very gene seed that is used to create the BA successors. It was presented to them with a finely wrought replica of the Sangreal. The original cup of Sanguinius.
The normal blood rights of the BA and their successors is to fill the Sanguinary Priest's grail with the lifeblood of themselves and their brothers to consume the trace remnants of the blood of Sanguinius within them, and to reinforce the fact that they are all Sons of Sanguinius and brothers in blood through that same Holy Primarch.
On the eve of battle with another ork wagh, they held the actual blood of the Primarch and drank deep for the first time since before their long sleep transformation into Blood Angels. When the battle was at it's most fierce, from out of the warp spilled foul demons and twisted black Terminators that were the vanguard of the cursed Black Legion. Suddenly, before their eyes the black armour seemed to transform into the the pristine white armour of the Luna Wolves. The original Sons of Horus. The blood of the Primarch within them burned with righteous hate. At every turn there stood Falkus Kibre of the Justinaerin, Kallus Ekaddon of the Catulan Reavers, and of course the thrice damned traitor himself.
The Marines succumbed to the curse down to the last man. Just as the last enemy fell and brother was about to turn on brother in a mad rage, their was a psychic backlash and they were all paralized with the geneseed memories of the battle of the Angel and the Demon where Kha'Banda had wounded the primarch. The greater demon of Khorne laughed and walked away as the Primarch was forced to watch as the cursed demon tore his beloved sons to peices.
Long after, they awoke. Free of the black rage, but to their great sorrow, the Lord High Priest had fallen. And with him so had the Sangreal. The holy Icon was never recovered. Out of shame for their loss and inability to contain the "curse", they painted their armour black so they shall never forget. Now they are the Black Grail Knights. They shall Quest for the Grail until it is found our the Emperor rises from the Golden Throne and commands otherwise.
((Stubby- as far as inquisitional ties, Im not sure. They are more than likely under the scrutiny from the inquisition))
*Edit-If this is beginning to steer too far from P&M I appologize. MODs feel free to move it to one more appropriate.

I probably should have mentioned this earlier...The colors for the standard marines are black armour highlighted with (forget the name but its a bluish gray), red trim on left shoulderpad, and the chapter symbol on the left shoulder.

I agree with above, looks like a cross between the templars and the blood angels, not a bad idea. Maybe do a whole crusade motiff.

No puns intended, however, as far as a crusade goes they are on a quest for the holy grail. I am not locked into the cross on the grail. I thought it was fitting, but I am thinking now that with their armour painted black and having the crusaders cross it could bring some confusion. I dont want it to look like a BT army that I suddently decided to call them blood angels because of the new codex. I dont want to appear to be "that guy". If I nix the cross it will look very close to the blood drinkers. Thats okay being that they are a BA successor, but I still wanted some individuality to them. Hmmm. Maybe If I drop the cross but convert a ton of knight heads. Any thoughts?
