I played three times on the same table, on the same side of it. Hehehe...

Handy reference:

Battle points:

Your general is still alive: +1

You have a unit over 50% strength, or a vehicle in your opponents

deployment zone: +1

Your most expensive unit is over 50% starting strength, and is not falling

back: +1

You control no table quarters: -1

Your opponent has no units under 50% strength, and no destroyed tanks:

-1

Scenario 1:

"Speakers of the Truth"

Primary:
Pick three infantry models from your army, they are now independant

characters, have one extra wound, are immune to instant death, and can

willingly walk of a table edge.

Whoever has more speakers walk of the opponents table edge, wins the

primary objective.

He picked three warriors from one squad, I chose two avengers from one

squad, and one from another.

Secondary:
Kill points

Tertiary:
The most expensive troop choice in your army, if your opponent kills it,

they win this, if there most expensive troop is alive.

Deployment:
Pitched Battle

Deployment:
Council on the far left, on the 12" line, sideways.
Walkers behind them.

Vypers in the center behind the one terrain piece.

Avengers off to right with walkers behind them.

Avengers off in the middle of nowhere.

Monolith up front with 10 warriors behind it.

7 Warriors in back.

Destroyers scattered in his back field, to get cover saves.

Deciever right next to the monolith.

The serpent is fortuned, and it moves flat-out semi-sideways.

Vypers dodge to get shots, and walkers move in for the kill.

Walkers and vypers on the left flank kill 5 destroyers together.

The walkers and sniper serpents on the right shave three wounds off of

the destroyer.

His WBB saves no destroyers, ouch.

He moves up with everything, his shooting kills off one walker, shakes,

and weapon destroyed on one squadron.

The council fortunes again and releases the council, Yriel splits off to kill

some destroyers, while the council sights the monolith.

The brightlances kill the destroyer.

Walkers and vypers see off three warriors.

Yriel manages to kill two destroyers, and stick in combat.

The council only immobilizes the monolith, despite their S9 witchblades...

His WBB rolls repair all his warriors.

His remaining 4 destroyers jump back, and the warriors sit around.

Yriel dies to a S6 salvo from the destroyers.

The rest of the match is down to me tieing up warriors for the rest of the

game with the council, and one squad of avengers after there transport is

blown.

Two of my speakers make it off of the table edge, earning me the

primary.

I had more KP's.

He phased out on turn 5.

Draw for tertiary.

19-1 point, looking good for me so far, since the max was 23.

Scenario 2:

"Burnt Toast"

Primary:
Kill points

Secondary:
Forcing more units to make morale checks from 25% casualties.

Tertiary:
Controlling more terrain features by having units in them.

Deployment:
Dawn of war

Deployment:
I win the roll off, and decide to go first.

I deploy nothing, everything but the walkers come in (outflanking).

He deploys one chaos marine squad on the far left flank, with the lord,
khorne berzerkers in a rhino.

Everything comes in as normal, the serpents deployed to take pot shots

at the rhino, while the vypers were there to wound what was inside. The

council moves flat-out across the right side of the table.

He moves his army on, and that solves my dillema, all of them are on the

left flank.

One walker squadron comes in, and removes the cannon off the predator,

and stuns it. The rest of my shooting manages to explode a rhino. My

council floats near his deployment zone.

His terminators deep strike in, not scattering because of the icon, and so
do his obliterators.

His shooting manages to do squat diddly. His winged prince flies and

runs up the far left flank.

His berzerkers run up into cover.

Walkers come in, then run, the vypers move about 7-12" in front of

them.

My shooting manages to kill three khorne berserkers, finish off the

predator, and wound one obliterator.

His terminators with the MoT come in, and wreck a walker, while

stunning the other two.

His obliterators manage to immobilize my council's serpent. Scratch that,

the blast master did that.

My council fortunes, and disembarks, moving fleeting assaulting the

terminators, only to draw close combat with 0-0 models killed.

I then proceed to finish off the obliterators. With walkers and the vypers.

My council finishes the job with the terminators.

His shooting does nothing, yet again.

I manage to kill four of the MoS terminators with my salvo of shots.

The rest of the game is him shooting horribly, his daemon prince jumping

up to me and getting pulverized by my shooting.

End result:

Primary: I win 5-0

Secondary: I win

Tertiary: I could have won... oh well, he wins it.

Battle points, he misses the -1 barely, since he destroyed one walker. He

gets +2, I get +3.

19-7

I am currently in first place, with 38/46 points, and not a shot in hell for

painting, so, looking good, I wait for the last round.

I go to the top table against a guard player, fear takes over! =D

Scenario 3:

"Recover and Reclaim"

Primary:

Every time a unit ends its movement in a terrain feature, roll a d6, on a 5

or a 6, that terrain feature it the radio tower, whoever has more units

within that terrain feature, controls it.

Secondary:

Each player places an objective or model within their opponents side of

the board, if you control your own, you win this objective.

Tertiary:

If you immobilize or destroy more of the opponents tanks than yours.

He wins the roll for deployment, and blobs the three infantry squads,

plop down in front of his objective, he deploys the GL vets with attached

commisar in the far right flank.

I hold everything back.

Creed & Co. roll in, his valkyrie and demolisher outflanking. One

chimera with a PCS, one empty chimera, a LRBT.

He orders his blob incoming. (2+ cover save)

Everything I have comes in and manages to kill 4-5 veterans, who pass

their leadership, and one of the incoming! guardsmen ate it.

I also find the radio tower in my back left terrain piece.

His valkyrie comes in, and manages to wreck the councils ride, ouch.

He also takes out one vyper.

The fortuned council gets ready to assault the valkyrie, and Yriel gets

ready to assault the dreaded blob.

My shooting does nothing.

Turns 3-4 are just Yriel assaulting the blob, killing 12, and dieing after

two rounds.

I reduce the veterans to two, and they flee back.

His valkyrie vets kill three warlocks and are killed after 5 rounds of

assault.

My walkers on the left get reduced to one, and the walkers on the right

are reduced to one.

Another vyper is destroyed.

His LRBT is immobilized, and his valkyrie is killed quickly.

He manages to destroy the brightlance on my serpent.

Turns 5-6:

I whittle at the blob squad, until it has 5 left, and it assaults the council,

getting reduced to two. I pop both chimeras and innards, and capture my

objective, so it is like this:

Primary Elfdars

Secondary Elfdars

Tertiary IG

So, by this point I knew I took first, since I scored a major victory, after

being in first place, huzzah! $35 dollar prize for a 12 man event, not that

bad I guess. $8 entry, so I pick up some loot for my brother who is

starting *shudders* marines.

Ah well, much fun to be had, I thought the mech IG had me.

Sloppy sloppy battle report!

So, I hope someone enjoyed me winning, I am going to go make a vassal

map for the terrain, and a feel of the game.

I'm going to guess that you've learned well and you tabled all three opponents!

I would love that, though it is awfully hard to table opponents with this army, I just work my magic on turn five or six, and win the game.

Seeing that your final opponent was close to a mech Guard army, I'll at least assume you were 2-0 at that point.

Was there random game length?

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

Missions 1 & 3 were 6 turns, 2 was random. So close to finishing the reports though...

dam that was incredibly hard to read, not sure where you copy+paste that from, but it made it difficult to read.

Also seems like a bunch of rules were misused or misunderstood in some of the games, that or your just writing them out wrong.

EG: Walkers cant be stunned in groups, they ignore it.

Yes, I know, I wrote that a few times actually, I guess I just didn't fix them.

Word pad, seeing as I lost my product key for word...

Like I said, it was very sloppy, and a summary of the games. I wanted to prove people who said walkers sucked wrong for the most part to be honest...

who says walkers suck? lol 24 S6 shots for 180 points is hardly suck by any means. Sure av10 open topped squadrons die, but thats the point.

Anyways, good job winning
