Imperial Agent Provocateur

Hey guys,
As of late I've been getting back into my Sisters, finally taking up the challenge of painting the Living Saint in NMM. I learnt the technique with the White Dwarfs guide using the Sanguinor, but figuring out how the light looks on different shapes with no reference is DAMN HARD.
So how is it so far?
Cheers

Your NMM work looks great at this distance, I´d like a closer shot of some parts, just to see how nice it looks up close, but nice job if this is your first try!
Good painting overall too, really liking the reds you´ve done.

Beautiful.
There is a slight glare on her face, right in the crease of her nose. It almost looks like she is crying. VERY saint like.
Nice work.

I can still remember when a box of 30 Space Marines was $30.00. Now THAT'S old school! In fact, I started playing in the Rogue Trader days...yes, I am that old. Played Warhammer Fantasy for years before Rogue Trader even came out...

I bought some plastic pegasus wings to use them with St Celestine too ^^ but I'm pretty sure that mine won't look as good as yours.

Awesome. I honestly thought it was metallic paints layered perfectly, when I saw the small picture. Good job.

This is damn good. I need to try some NMM, but I'm kinda scared to jump into too much too soon as I'm sorta just starting this stuff.
As for buying that...I'm not too into buying prepainted minis, but it's worth AT LEAST 3 times the cost of the model.

Hey guys,
Thanks for your kind words.
@Casper I used the White Dwarf guide on NNM to learn the technique and I recommend it to anyone wanting to learn it. Even if you think the Sanguinor is a bad model or you dont collect Blood Angels. It tells you exactly what to paint where and that knowledge can be translated to any model you paint. But whilst your starting out use a reference.
@ Captian Loken Wow, I didnt even realise that! Creepy... Maybe shes a real Saint!
I'll make sure to post the finished model when Im done. Unfortunately that wont be for a while as i have LOST her damn sword!
If you like my painting, I have my Blood Angels army selling on eBay atm. I am also available for commission.

@Drummerboy NNM stands for Non-Metallic Metal. Its a painting technique in traditional painting where by you create the effect of a metallic surface by mimicing the way highlights and lowlights are placed using non-metallic paints.
and believe me, you can paint like this, I've been painting miniatures for 4 months now (with no prior painting skillz, in fact I suck at all traditional art). Just gotta practice and search the web for tutes, the rest is a steady hand.

Just a quick pointer; if you're searching for this technique on google/cmon/dakka etc.... It's actually NMM not NNM
