In the title really.

Mine is of course the warhammer zombies. I just love the detail, the customisablilty and how menacing/comical they look.

they're also a joy to paint

I also love both the zombies and chaos warriors, but the new river trolls are quickly becoming my favorite models. I am about 8 trolls in converting them for chaos trolls and I just love the details.

A runner up is the spawn box, not for the spawn so much but all the great detailed pieces for conversions.

Ragnar Blackmane and Ulrik the Slayer.

Looking a bit dated now but these guys were the inspiration to get me started on Space Wolves. I wish I hadn't gotten rid of my original army adn am having to build a new one up from scratch.

Which also makes the new multi part sprues that GW release killer as well.

This guy. He just completely epitomise's the nobility of the space marine's heros, and especially those of the blood of Dorn. He's not panicked or even mildly put off, he's just striding towards the enemies leaders with his holy mission in mind. Plus, that helmet is babsolutely gorgeous.

I'll have to go with my most recent purchase, the plastic SM venerable dreadnought. A lot of cool extra bitz, and the customizing options really makes it hard to have two of the exact same looking dread. The kit improved upon the metal ven dread (not really hard to do I guess), and overall was an easy kit to assemble.

The Empire warrior priest with great weapon, I love the style of armor and the pose.

Other than that, it's probably the Harlequins, such a joy to paint as you have the opportunity to do scarily bright colors and check patterns ^^

Terminators? Awesome.

Grey Knight Terminators? Even more awesome.

Psycannon? Most awesome weapon in the game.

Add these together and you get unstoppably amazing.

Probably work

Siding with GKTs. They're beautiful models, and I pray that when the new GK stuff is released years from now, they don't change much of this design. Only other thing I think I had more fun painting was the Officer of the Fleet. Not sure why, as he's not even that extraordinary of a model.

I'm both orderly and rational. I value control, information, and order. I love structure and hierarchy, and will actively use whatever power or knowledge I have to maintain it. At best, I am lawful and insightful; at worst, I am bureaucratic and tyrannical.

Hmm tricky so many great models over the years, but I really must plum for some old skool goodness.

My favourite fantasy model (well models!) would have to be Prince Ulthers Dragon Company, a box set from about 1987. There is something about the character of dwarfs from this era than modern plastics can not seem to capture. These are not mine by the way!

My favourite Sci-Fi model would be The Chainsaw Warrior also from about 1987. The original chainsaw weilding looney and still the best, Also a Platoon leader in my guard army!

Going with Slann Mage Priest today (Snikch is another favourite). Juan Diaz takes a ridiculous concept (giant frogs that happen to be the most powerful mages in the Warhammer World) and makes it work with a sculpt that genuinely looks like it could win a staring contest with Teclis. The previous effort just looked like a frog.

For me, it is the Retribution-class battleship from BFG. All those guns along the side make it look awesome, like a wooden-wall ship of the line from the age of sail, just more cathedral-like!

I like the Kasherkin minis. And the AOBR warboss as always. That thing is just hardcore looking. But I think my faves are easily the Nobs box set. Those are nicely done and really fun to paint

For me, it has to be the original, 2nd edition, Carnifex or Screamer Killer as it was also known.

It typified the total alienness of the tyranid race - its face built into its torso protecting a vunerable area; those 4 HUGE genuinely scything talons; it is a near perfect representation of an unstoppable killing machine (except for the legs / hips / waste - esp. the waste which a super model would kill for !).

Like all the 2nd ed tyranids models, its scale has lessened its affect (it has almost become quaint) & I've yet to see a good conversion that includes any long range bio-weapons. But, that my fav.

Don't Panic !
