Ok, I thought that might be the model you were thinking of, it defiantly has the potential to be a lot better through conversions.

Indeed.

Oh, another idea, do you happen to have any servo-skulls like the ones that come with the SM Devastator Squad? If you do, they could be turned into Cherubs through modification.

If I knew, I'd tell you.

I was thinking of giving the purger much more flames and a good welder's mask with eye slits.

More flames, yes and a bigger fuel tank as well, and of course he'll need a mask, that's your recurring theme.

If I knew, I'd tell you.

As a matter of fact I might have a servo skull lying around somewhere!

I will be giving every gang member a mask. Makes them look more sinister and gang-like.

Great! With an ample amount of greenstuff and talent you can throw together a rather grim looking cherub to off set the rather normal looking one, adding more Grim Darkness to your gang.

Hmm, I was actually planning to convert the original cherub to be carrying a big =I= sign rather than the bolter.

Well if you, are gonna have two Cherubs I don't see why thats not possible.

The idea is great, it's just my skills with recreating a body with green stuff are not as good as I need them to be. But the thing with the servo skull is.... if I'm using a mask to cover the faces of every model, the servo skull will be pretty pointless.... got any ideas how I could resolve this?

Well you could use the Skull as a base to make fleshed out head, but that could prove difficult. For now you could put the skull on the back burner and use it if there are no other options for the Cherub.

If making a gs body proves difficult for the time being I think for the Warhammer Fantasy line GW still makes Thralls for the Sorcerers, one of those could easily be given wings.

If I knew, I'd tell you.

Well I was thinking about the overall mask theme and came up with some ideas...

A technological ceremonial death mask, similar to the one on Lord Kroak.
A death korps type gas mask
or A simple steel visor.

Comments welcome.

Well I had a look at it, and I have to say the World of Warcraft characters are good inspiration however it looks too "chaosy" for an enforcer.
Keep posting ideas though.
Thanks.

Here's the concept for the cherub from the Witch Hunter and Retinue boxed set. I will replace the bolter it holds with a big =I= sign.

Wouldn't worry too much about your views to posts ratio, it's already better than 90% of the logs on here! usually one post in every 10-20 is a really good average.

As for the mini's, personally I would start on the one that excites you the most first, inevitably your ideas for the others will be defined by this first mini and will no doubt be vastly different from those you have starting out. I certainly find this to be the case.

For the commissar, how does he fit with the group? Is he intended to be an actual, still active commissar? Also, what is making the PF burn? Perhaps an under-slung mini flamer (I'm thinking of the Sabbat Martyr where the officers are the only ones allowed flamers, using a sort of wrist mounted unit).

Looking forward to seeing this develop now you have the ideas flowing. I wouldn't worry too much about selecting exactly the right base models. Pretty much anything can be made to work in an =I=munda gang, just ask the master himself, Migsula!

It's all part of the fun of the =I=munda spirit too, making everything and anything work. The freedom of creativity is truly a joy.

Cheers,

Dante

Thanks a million Dante, I have to admit I read a lot of your posts and they are all very inspirational. I hope you follow this project and inject your other ideas. As for the commissar I was thinking of adding a big nozzle in the powerfist (like the one on Huron Blackheart) and have the flames leaking from it. He is going to be converted to be an enforcer.

If I knew, I'd tell you.

So guys, I woke up this morning with a few more ideas. I thought about Dante's post a little more and thought....
"hmmm, underslung miniflamer....."
I came to my attention that the witchhunter culexus assassin I was thinking about using for a heavy weapon specialist could have an underslung flamer!
This means that the right arm would be bulked up with scratchbuilt armour plates and then a nice flamer could be "strapped" underneath. And the cool thing is- I could use the helmet as the source of petroleum (or whatever those imperial assassins use these days). I could gs a tube going from the flamer to the helmet...
Let me know what you think

Shut up and actually do something???

Seriously, just run with your ideas and see where they take you and then see what others think since it's so important to you personally. Myself, I plan to do stuff that I enjoy myself, since I'm the one pleying them. Others make comments on results (not just talk) and I integrate what I like too. Works well I think.

Wow, lots of good ideas in here, and though I would not put it as harshly as Migs ( right back at ya), I do think that you have enough concepts, to get started on modelling.

Really looking forward to seeing your models, will be interesting to see what you make of the concepts. I particularly liked the cherub with an =I= Icon.

And remember, don´t feel tied down by your initial concepts, lord knows I went through a few inquisitor concepts before finding the right one!

Just "Get in the groove" and run with your vision. Looks good so far.
