Vendettas are a nice cheapy choice to really nail down MCs with some long range mobile s9 ap2 guns.

Your other choices can then be some executioners. rear av11 prevents gaunts from massing against you.

I've had luck against MCs with a Pask-Exterminator. He's also quite good at tearing up transports and non-MEQ troops. Certainly a more flexible (and cheaper) option than the Punisher.

That said, I usually use LRBT+plasma if I use russes, and occasionally an executioner.

Vendettas also do pretty well at putting wounds on high T MCs from far away.

Although I am pretty passionately against tailored list building... I'll chime in and say that the executioner would be a fantastic flexible tank for a mystery nid list.

It does an admirable job killing infantry units, while not giving up the ability to shoot at MCs. Unlike most of the other tanks, it will deny things like tervigons, hive guard and carnifex/prime units feel no pain.

Hive guard and MCs are generally screened by infantry units, usually you can have the initial placement of the small blast marker so that it is hitting your intended target and one or two models from the screening unit. Sending 5 of those could net you something like 3-4 hits on an MC and 5-8 hits on the unit in front of it. And no one is taking armor or feel no pain from that shot.

Also as mentioned before. Armor 11 rear is fantastic against furious charging termagants, and anything else they are throwing at you that caps at strength 4, like gargoyles.

also, most MC's are only strength 6, while you don't have the best odds of surviving mellee, if you start driving all over the place when they start getting close, likely hood is it will take the mc 2 close combat phases to pop that tank.

also remember bugs are fearless, meaning you can tank shock them into nice little clumps whenever you like, no tyrand player is going to risk a 200+pt MC to death or glory a chimera.

To be honest, you won't have much trouble against nids. Take lots of chimeras, and the standard Lemon Russ does great against warriors and little guys. I wouldn't bother trying to kill MC's with tanks, as it is much more straightforward to just shoot 'em with plasma rifles in Command Squads (which has been stated before on this thread). Nids really lack the means to kill large numbers of relatively low AV vehicles (chimeras), so taking those en-masse is a guaranteed way to give nid players a hard time.

Best of luck on your game. Let us know how it goes!
