I really don't know.
Teclis is a small, physically disabled cardboard child with a penchant for extremely destructive magic surrounded by a bunch of slightly larger wooden children. He hits hard, but he's incredibly easy to remove unless you totally bunker him up.
Whereas Kairos can be put up against anything, ANYTHING, and do well. "Oh, what's that? Heavy Cav and infantry blobs? Dwellers Below and Lore of Metal!"

Kabal of the Void Dominator - now with more purple!

The real test is, how many threads are there about "ZOMG I hate Kairos, he's soooo OP. Feck that Shat, he's a beast!" vs "ZOMG I hate Teclis, he's soooo OP. Feck that shat, he's a beast!"

Personally, I've seen more threads hating on Teclis than Kairos.

I think George Orwell was unknowingly describing 40K.

I don't think you can even field Kairos in 2500 points so that might account for it.

Incidently Mannfred von Carstein can be geared out pretty nastily. Every wound he causes he gains a power dice and he generates +2 power dice base. He knows all the spells of the lore of death and vampires. He can be geared to have +6 to cast and +6 to dispel. He's toughness 5 with 5 wounds. Initiative 8, Weapon Skill 8, Strength 5. He's up there, only real weakness being no ward save.

Change and change until Change is our master, for nothing neither God nor mortal can hold that which has no form. Change is the constant that cannot be changed.

No game of chess can be won without pawns, and this may prove to be a very long game.
