I wonder if there's going to be an explanation for this at all, or if they're just going to pretend they never had a Facebook page.

There's no way this could have been accidental, right? I mean I'd think it would be kinda silly for a company to "accidentally" delete its own Facebook page, but this is GW we're talking about so you can't really rule it out.

Well given EVERY single post they made had negative comments about the cost of the items they were advertising, plus the backlash from the "Space Marine" incident... i'm guessing they just cut their losses and ran.

Pretty bad when 100% of your posts are getting negative feedback. Or sarcastic comments such as "It's nice to see those discounted bundles... oh wait..."

The purpose of their Facebook page was advertising - with the negative comments (that were so well deserved) it was not serving that purpose... so *YOINK!*

Odds are that it will not return.

The reason I bought rules and became a real wargamer was because I wanted a properly thought out structure to govern the action instead of just making things up as I went along.

I wouldn't be surprised to see it return a week from now but be locked down so people can't post things on their wall.

Oh, I certainly vote with my dollar, but the problem is that that is not enough. The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

Apparently, according to BL's FB page, GW has taken down their page to concentrate more on individual store's pages. All news is now to be garnered from individual hobby stores and WD Daily.

I've been trying hard to remain a good fan of GW, but even I'm starting to lose respect for them now, and quickly. What a cop out.

Is there a page for a branch we can treat as the HQ? Warhammer World?

It certainly sounds like just want to avoid any large scale criticism.

As far as I am aware the only method of contacting GW HQ now is to write or email them direct, which will achieve nothing and is probably the entire purpose of this move.
They have zero interest in communicating with the weird older nerds who by their toys.

Eh? They never had a facebook page. Just like they have never had a forum.

Because every example of people emailing them hasn't received a response. Because that happened.
Or, in the real world, they do actually use email like normal people, as many people who get dodgy kits here will attest.
