Nice start on your army simple but effective colour scheme. I know that red is difficult to paint on a black undercoat but I would suggest you use several thin layers instead of a few thicker ones this will give the red paint a cleaner look and not cover up the details. The thing with acrylic paints is that they are transparent even when undiluted so even if you use them straight from the pot you would not get a complete coverage on so you really need to use several layers or the undercoat will shine trough. Another way is to start with a darker red since it will ha bit better coverage and work up to a brighter red the advantage of this is that you can leave the darker red in the shadows so that the red will also be shaded.
I hope these tips can be useful you have made a good start on your army looking forward to see more

I think I might try and do that more, so it comes out in much better detail, so thank you! ^_^
Also I apologize for not posting too much here, I was trying to finish up a backlog of Menoth stuff I had for Warmachine I needed to get painted, and I have no other models other than the Trauma doc for now. :/ Once I can, I will get him painted now so I can least have a fully Painted PanO army (of sorts). Also, would anyone like it if I try to do some terrain on here as well so I can try and keep posting on my blog? After I am done with my summer job I am not going to have a steady stream of income until next summer or until I get another part time job....

Alright, so I apologize for that 2 month downtime. I was getting back in the groove of college life as well other things pre-occupying my time. So the first thing I finished up is my ORC trooper with HMG, and got a start with my Trauma-Doc that is still a work in progress. I also went back and re-based my starter set so it did not look so drab and boring (although not futuristic looking, but oh well for now).

A cool, contrasting colour scheme! The black and red makes that ORC trooper look mean.. Although, could definitely do with some better photos.

You would not be the first to tell me that sadly (Not trying to come off as dickish, sorry if I do). :( I would try and get a better camera but I have no money so I have to stick with my android phone since my other types of cameras are not that good, so I am working with that the best I can.

You can make showworthy photos with say a Galaxy S2.
It's all about having the right (diffused) light and a matte dark background.

Yes, definitely agree with Baiyuan - I have an S2 as well, nice little camera but as with all camera phones suffers from having a slow lens. The way to combat this is as much light as possible.
Even if you have an angle-poise bulb you can shine on to the miniatures that will help immeasurably - a daylight bulb is even better if you have one.
Looking forward to seeing more minis in any case

Alright, so I finally got to update this after a good bit.
The Trauma doc was kind of a rush job, and somehow the face wanted to screw with me and this is the best I could do with it.

Alright, so after a month over of not updating, I think it is due to show what I have been working on. Once I get more miniatures and that I will keep up to date with this.

You're more courageous that I. I can't bring myself to do black surfaces anymore, I always feel they are too flat and end up with a lot of gray.
