I just had a play around with it, and I think it's fantastic. If the models live up to expectation, you may have just hit a goldmine of miniature goodness

Edit: Oh, what's being added in the way of sci-fi? It's a tad picky, but I'd love to see more sci fi cc weapons - something like Raiden's sword in Metal Gear Rising would be beyond awesome

Futuristic close combat weapons are indeed a must and we will definitely add a few (at least), stay tuned!

A 404 error is strange, can you copy/paste the link that return this error ? Or maybe describe the option ?

Not sure whether it's worth mentioning, the trench coats appear to clip through the model at certain points. Not sure if it would turn up in the models.

We fixed a few poses with that kind of problem. When clipping occurs on the rendering it will be on the printed model but you problably won't notice it except in the most extreme cases. On the printed model you don't have the shadow line around the clipping part you have in the rendered images, you just see a bump in a trenchcoat which is only natural.

I would be really cool if we could print only a part like a head model to make our own conversion.

It will be done at some point, but I don't know when. Probably the next major update will be female models (hopefully before the end of the month), maybe spare parts will come after that. It depends on many things, including feedbacks.

We can do maaaany things, but our ressources are veeeery limited, so if you reeeeally want something be vocal about it.

Edit 2: Oh, I noticed that on a few of the poses with the Mobile Cannon and the Sci-fi assault rifle, the left hand doesn't connect to the gun properly in the preview.

The biggest change is the possibility to choose a symbols/blazons after a request on another forum.



The most important thing is that our most generous backers on the upcoming kickstarter campaign will be able to send us an image of any symbol of their choosing and we will add it to our system !

For the preview it's not a bug. The preview is ment to be quick and dirty so we skipped some steps. We can make it less dirty of course, but it will be less quick.

This small update was about fantasy items, I guess we will have bulky sci fi armours in the next. But I don't think it will look like a space marine if this is what you want. The main problem is that space marine miniatures have strange body proportions and we are somewhat dependant on those proportions. We will probably mimic the style (round, rigid armour with big shin protections) at some point, with the difference that you will be able to fit a guy in it.

And for sexy female armours, they are definitely on our TODO list. You will see at least some before we launch our kickstarter campaign (I have noticed that kickstarters showing some female cleavages and midriffs have strangely more backers. Sex sells, who would have known ?).

I get what you mean about the preview, so that's all fair enough.

You say Space Marine armour... Well, I wasn't really thinking in that region (after all, it's not like there aren't 1000 Space marine kits already ), I was thinking something a bit closer to, say, Tau armour. Somewhere between PA and carapace armour (size wise, that is.) Think Halo Spartans

Anyway, always awesome to have new stuff to try out

Oh, tau armor, ok. My English failed me (not my mother tongue), in my mind "bulky" didn't define a tau armor. It shouldn't be a problem. I guess you will see a couple in the next update, although is not the kind of army we are working on right now.


For the ETA... well, forecast is not my strong suit but I may try. Let say 2 months before the kickstarter campaign and in six months we will be able to print. Then, the backers will be able to create/order their models and once it's done, maybe 3-4 months later, anyone will be able to buy our products.

So, 6 months if you are a backer, 9 if you aren't.

Neat. One bug I picked up - the kneeling pose has the back of the foot clip through the coat if you go for the trenchcoat torso.

Well, we ordered a print of one of our model for internal testing but because of a little misunderstanding the scale is not right, it should be about 20% smaller. Also, the 3D printer is not exactly the same we intend to use but it's the same precision (0.05mm).

That said, it can still give you a rough idea of the final result.

Looks nice. The material is interesting for sure. Never really used a 3D printer myself so I don't know the logistics of it all.

A new update is on the servers !

We changed the way the symbols are dealed with internally, it should looks better an being more versatile.
We improved the building speed of the model. It is faster, especially when holding a 2 handed weapon.
We add a drop down list to select a period for the equipment (fantasy, science fiction...)
Lots of tuning and tests for various additions (pony tail, long beard,...). Hopefully now we know enough to add new body types without too much surprise (female body should coming next)

And of course, we add new elements.




As you can see we added the (requested) bulky armour along with several others.

It took longer than expected because we did some polishing before starting a new body. We have started working on the female body.

Please give us feedback !

Wow , this is such an awesome idea, I love it.

I just made a helmeted axe weilding psycho from the future ( looked very judge dredd style) in 3 minutes. One request I have is wimminz , I'd love to have the option of female miniatures (maybe I just missed it) I'd probably make and buy a gang for necromunda off you guys.

Yeah, female minis should be coming next update, which has me far more excited than it probably should.

I'll get to trying all the new stuff and feeding back when I have a free moment - really looking forward to it though

Some more bionics for the arms, legs, etc and a bike riding pose.
