You'd be better asking this question in the Dakka Discussions forum and asking about wargames in general rather than focusing specifically on 40K, simply because you can cast your net wider. For example, Peter Cushing painted historical figures.

That these threads get a lot of names but unfortunately there's seldom proof. If I Google "celebrity wargamers" I get pictures of Lady Gaga...closer investigation shows that these are from a joke article, but it'd be easy to see these pictures then believe it and come straight back here to tell you. Ah yes, I heard Lady Gaga plays Imperial Guard, that's why she sometimes wears a commissar-style hat...

In other words, take some of the names you get with a bit of salt.

Driven away from WH40K by rules bloat and the expense of keeping up, now interested in smaller model count games and anything with nifty mechanics.

I only accept a visual proof instead of text only. Anyone can say anything on Internet!

Yesterday I saw UFO and saw grey man wear logo showing SURF! on his 'sort of' wetsuit... He wave at me... I am not sure if it is a prank or I am dream?

Update:

Yes... That right.

Wait...you saw him as well?

I thought it was bad beer.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Angry Joe and Totalbiscuit of youtube fame both play.

I heard that Robin Williams had Eldar, but didn't play.

I've also heard that VIn Diesel is a huge D&D nerd, and I've seen the Vin Diesel GW Store tale on here before.

Vin DIesel is definitely an example that can be proved...he wrote the foreword to a D&D tie-in book.

Has anyone ever commission painted for a Celebrity? Bruce Willis owning the largest IG army in the U.S. I could believe, him sitting down and spending years painting every single one of them I cannot. I imagine this is the case for a lot of celebs, who enjoy the models and the game but unlikely have time for the painting aspect of it (not saying this is the case for all of them), hiring commission paint jobs would seem to be the order of the day for a lot of the richer and busier folk, one could presume.

That being said, I guess there is no way of really knowing if you commissioned a Celeb or not especially if you are a pro painter commissioned online, Bruce Willis could call himself Johnny Appletree and post here on the daily for all we really know

P.S.A. I won't read your posts if you break it into a million separate quotes and make an eyesore of it.

Doesn't surprise me at all that Christopher Lee is a wargamer. He's pretty awesome- released a frickin' heavy metal album last year for his birthday lol.
